Please nerf mccree's magnetic grenade

Pulse Bomb isn’t meant to be an anti-mobility ability, though. If I played Tracer, I know I’d not fancy my chances of slapping Pulse onto an enemy Tracer.

Anti-mobility tools by their very nature have to be easy to land because they’re intended to scare off evasive characters.

I don’t need to try it out in practice range. I use it in actual gameplay.

131 reliable damage on a short throwaway cooldown that hits reliably and tracks targets for you is not great?

You don’t understand. Tracer is already in range, she doe not blink into it’s range. I throw the sticky which starts tracking and tracer blinks away, the sticky still sticks even though they blink away before it lands.

It also has a tendency to track and follow targets much further than its intended range is supposed to be. Especially if the speed of the target matches the speed of the sticky.

As I keep saying, change his grenade to a mini version of his current ultimate (headshot 3 separate targets in view, resets on roll) and then make his ultimate a delayed flash grenade. If you look at it, you’re blinded.

I dont really think it needs nerfing per se, its muuuch weaker than his old flash, what it needs a full on rework.

Cass’s whole kit rn is so dumbly reliant on his left click its not even funny.

People complained HARD in OW1 that FB was a skilless ability for Cass. They change it completely and people are still complaining. Wonders never cease.

It’s because it still counters flankers and they don’t like that.

This is what led to tracer being overpowered for the first 2 and a half years overwatch was out.

Like i said, you don’t understand hero balance

I in fact do understand that making a character have dumb, easy and excessively powerful abilities is not good for the games balance. Tracer needs to lose some of her mobility too rather than her damage, but McCree shouldn’t be made easier as an excuse to deal with her. If they were to do an actual flashbang that blinds enemies, it’s not a guarantee kill that flash and fan provided nor is it some easy lock-on 130 damage cheese ability that sticky grenade provides. It forces someone like Tracer to stop their attack, but a Rein or Brig will still be able to swing on you.

McCree has always been easy when it comes to dealing with flankers. And in that case, sure, nerf mobility, then i have no problem getting rid of crap like magnetic grenade. But as long as characters like tracer exist, it needs to stay.

The game needs “dumb, cheap, easy” abilities to deal with heroes like that because by their design they would literally run circles around diamond and below if the game wasn’t balanced that way.

Because we didnt know it would be a mini magnetic pulse bomb

Seen too many be reliant on his right click instead.

He should be mostly a left-clicker though since he IS meant to be a gunslinger.

I agree, mostly reliant on left click but his right click should also be more useful as well and actually take aiming instead of this dumbed down randomly spreaded non headshotting garbo he has rn.

I did forget to add at the time but the random spread that FTH currently has, would also be unrandomized into a circle so theres no way you get lucky with it.

The idea for an actual flashbang would still be McCree’s cheese ability but it won’t provide a guaranteed kill nor will it do excessive amounts of damage. Give it a lock-on and a massive radius for all I care, it’s better than sticky grenade and stunbang being instant wins in 1v1 duels. It’ll force a dive character to back off and give McCree a chance to run or get more shots on the diver.

I would accept the idea of a traditional flashbang because i think it would be funny to watch people walk around not knowing whats going on, although im not sure how effectively it would handle dive heroes.

Revert it back to his stun

:face_vomiting:

it was always fun fading his stun at close range then killing him :skull:

Yeah well it felt awful to get flash fanned on anyone without an invuln/ eat/ deflect

I found the best strat to deal with this depending on how close you are is to just run at him the bomb explosion damages him too. If you damaged him any you can get a kill trade out of the encounter.
