yes that’s why bring back for a day to remind people about it so then they’ll want the grenade back hahaha
They have forgotten the pain of many just because they died low health to grenade hahah

Most of the people who failed it were the ones who refused to use FTH out of principle. Flash+FTH was a much easier way to kill people, especially Genji. Additionally, it had much more utility in being able to cancel ults and stop characters like hamster.
Mag nade may be annoying to play against, but it’s far weaker than flash ever was. It has slightly better range, but that’s the only thing it does better. The lock-on is also incredibly janky, I’ve had it miss quite a few times when it absolutely shouldn’t have.
Cree would need a massive buff to a different part of his kit if they were to nerf the mag nade.
That’s… That’s the point of the ability. Cassidy has close to no mobility and a massive body so for him to get up close it takes a lot of effort. So he deserves to at least have high impact.
But outside of the grenade his damage value decrease greatly against squishies.
If you want to fight up close. have a way to remove the grenade like Reaper’s warth form ,Genji’s deflect, Kiriko’s zuzu or Zarya’s bubble. Without it his big body and lower damage tend to make him simple to kill.
Or at least have a way to survive it like having extra health, Zen’s ult or immortality…
He already lacks range, has massive body & his normal damage isn’t the best… At least let him have this combo. It’s not even that special - Junkrat & Pharah normally do 120 damage with aoe and overall most dps have a way to melt their target in a second… This one just requires less aim but in exchange have a massive cool down.
The amount of times I’ve got unlucky with being killed by them.
Yeah, its pure RNG, it aint good though i can count how many times a Cassidy has killed me with a right click on one hand on OW2, is why i’d wanna buff it while making it less random.
After giving it some thought i think i’d even go as far as take off Cassidy’s 25 Health for it too, his 50% dmg reduction on roll + a arguably better magnetic nade would suffice for his high survivability that hes supposed to have, if it meant giving him a more varied and fun kit.
It shouldn’t home in, it should be a skill based throw with a range distance that doesn’t feel as long.
When I got hit with it I knew it was my fault for not listening out for his footsteps or letting myself as a support get too close to a DPS.
The homing grenade is a no skill required button you can press to take more than 50% of a characters health away on an extremely short CD. For a skill that powerful and so easy to use it should be on a 20~30 second cool down.
Just did this, hid behind a pillar and told our moira to bait their cree, lol he fell to it and rolled in only to be greeted with a ONI skinned genji deflecting it back to his face and finished him of with a dash melee, he was like holy hell in match chat.
I take the sticky nade over stun flash any day :U
Mccree is good at close range because
Some other heroes jump in your face and he can prevent that a bit
It’s still fun fading out of the magnetic one too at least
“I don’t like having to respect another hero’s ability to make them not completely terrible in close range, nerf!!”
This has been my take on it.
Thing is before the bomb he wound get “free damage” when you got close by stunning you and shooting you while you were locked out
Now he still gets consistent damage for you getting close- but you maintain control of your hero.
Bro you weren’t even around for his flash days.
