Please don't have forced 2-2-2

This is a game.
This. Is. A. Game.
What is the point of a game? To have fun.
What will forced 2-2-2 do? All I know is it will probably ruin the game for DPS players.

I’d rather have a structure in the game that makes balancing easier to be done.

I figure they should do it for Quickplay too.

Kinda embarrassing when Quickplay has less teamwork than Apex Legends solo queue.

At least Comp has rewards. Quick Play is literally the least rewarding gamemode. Even arcade is more rewarding than it as you can get loot boxes.

Fun is subjective.

Also role q/2-2-2 is coming but not for a while cause they still need to rewrite mm codes, etc.
If you & other people doesnt like it theres other games too you can play you know.

This game has needed role q for past 5+ seasons now. And it will also make balancing easier.
Also it will not ruin this game for dps. It will make other important roles more playable & played instead of people who keeps instalocking 3-5 dps at the start of the game

Or is this one of those this ‘‘x’’ thing will ruin the game threads yet again?

For DPS players, what’s enjoyable about choosing between not having a tank or healer, or having to flex to a role you don’t necessarily enjoy?

Personally I never understood the appeal of being the 5th DPS on a team in any other sense that it’s slightly more enjoyable than babysitting a bunch of DPS who accidentally queued into QP instead of FFA DM.

Deal with what? There ain’t no forced 222 in case you have not noticed. I know we get that most games anyways so it is hard to tell the difference, but yeah.

Deal with the possibility of 2-2-2.

I see it as an inevitable direction of the game, it’s just a matter of when it will actually happen. There is no structure in the game, the roster is expanding, and it’s inevitably going to become more and more difficult to balance and develop heroes as a result.

I have mixed feelings about a forced 2/2/2. It will limit the amount of creativity users can have with their compositions, plus, if I queue for a Damage hero, I’ll only be able to use Torbjorn or Junkrat (which a lot of people seem to hate, though I do have a reason for playing them). On the other hand, there won’t be any issues of 5 people insta-locking Damage heroes and stubbornly sticking with their choice until the end of the match. GOATS will officially be stamped out. Users will have separate ranks for three categories, which place them in appropriate tiers for the class they’ll choose. And you can always count on there being reliable tanks and healers in number (not necessarily in skill).

Hopefully if they do 2/2/2, they’d be willing to backtrack if the community is unhappy with how things have turned out.

This is seriously the compromise we need when it comes to the 2-2-2 debate.

What people aren’t realizing about 2/2/2 and role locks is that it won’t make the game better, just a different type of bad.

Example: Two tank players that don’t pick the one tank you need along with 4 players that cant pick the tank you need.

I am gonna quote myself on another post because i think i already summed it up.

People keep complaining about 5 people insta locking dps, and there is no way to fix that without 2-2-2.

That might not be a problem for long. The tank players will be competing against each other for SR. Unless they are better than the other tank players at their current SR if they don’t play whatever tank is meta at the moment they will plunge in SR.

You can probably get away with playing a non-meta tank/support now at some ranks due to the demand for tanks/supports. If 2-2-2 comes that’s going to end for the most part.

Currently, QP averages 5.35 DPS per game. Having five on a team with any regularity is unlikely unless you are doing something to cause that.

QP currently has one of it’s highest tank and support usage rates ever.

Another way to see it,
3TankOrHealers is literally right between
4TankOrHealers(2-2-2) and
2TankOrHealers(4-1-1).

Yup tank/flex/support players have also been suffering constantly for 3 tears straight, so I think it’s time for them to have some fun too.

I mean if you want fun go play a game of Quickplay. Competitive is to play competitively, not to “have fun.”
