Please don't delete D.Va or Brig's Police skins

That was the discussion held when he first came out. However, it’s not that the only black characters are antagonists. I think the big big bad is an omnic tho

Also it’s not like Doomfist is exclusively framed as a bad guy. Overwatch as a whole tries pretty hard to frame its characters in shades of grey. Doomfist has humanity’s interest at heart, he just… uses some pretty unconventional methods :stuck_out_tongue: to understate it lol. But point being, it’s not like he’s the sole villain, or purely evil.

People did. It’s just nobody listened because they didn’t make any sense.

Honestly, removing Diva skin could be seen as a fraud in my opinion…since I am one of those players, who PAYED real money to get that version of game with legendary skins - this certain skin included.

Not according to the TOS which you agree to by playing the game.

if someone lists a certain skins and put a price tag to it, than it´s fraud to remove it - however you look at it.

It’s not. Blizzard has the rights to change cosmetics as they see fit. It’s in a contract you agreed to.

Officer D.Va isn’t good anyway

Change - maybe, but not take away something you bought. If this happens and there will be some compensation, than ok… but still, people go for this bonus things also based on, what´s included there. I can say that I don´t buy every bonus version of WOW expansion cause not always I am happy with cosmetics included there. If you know, wha I mean…

I think it’s unlikely blizzard would remove the police skins without providing a replacement for people who own them. They did that with noose.

I’m honestly impressed they are still in the game…

I dont think it ts with currency that you can only get ingame. Though it would be worse because it had a dedicated HotS challenge to get it earlier than others.

Realistically, if they take this route (I don’t think they should, but I digress–it’s their game, they can make decisions good or bad as they desire), they should refund people coins, not the altered skin. They should’ve done this with the Noose spray, too. Let people decide if they want to purchase the redone skin or a different one–for example, I rather like Officer DVa, but if it were removed, there’s no guarantee that I want the subsequent skin, and I’d much rather have the coins to purchase one of the many other skins I’d like to have.

That’s probably about as fair as you could make it, TBH.

I think if the Brig skin ever gets deleted, the replaced one will be free for everyone or at least being included in normal loot boxes. Like how they do with the Bastion and Sombra toast victory poses.

I imagine they wouldn’t change the pricing on it. They’d probably do the same thing that they did with Noose–if you had it, you automatically got the Horseshoe, and if you didn’t, it costs coins. The latter part is fine, but the former part is a little unfair since some people realistically did make an effort to get that specific cosmetic, hence my view that they should refund coins so that if you want the new cosmetic you can get it or so that you can get something else if you don’t like the new cosmetic.

Nope, it was more expensive version of game with listed promised legendary skins. It´s product of their virtual shop, so even replacing it would be something, I would not pay for maybe, if I didn´t like it. (Ofc, I like other skins so, this is just about point).

I also think that’s a fair alternative.

If there are a thousand good cops, and ten bad ones, and the thousand know about the ten bad ones, which they often DO, then you have 1,010 bad cops.

Why are people saying this like it’s actually happening? It’s just a hyperbolic rumor being circulated by people on the forums

Exactly! It seems removing a tiny spray made people so unbelievably triggered and angry they think it’s going to happen to skins too? What’s next, the fall of western civilization?

The whole George Floyd thing is mostly over in the media; they’d be removed already. This entire thread is honestly, full of garbage opinions and takes of people who are trying to hide their rage and that they can’t understand that people are sensitive about things they may find strange.

I hope this thread gets locked.

I find it amazing how popular it is in the gaming community to consider oneself “superior” by forgoing basic human sympathy and empathy. It’s basically impossible for someone to offend me personally on the internet, but I can still understand that things like the noose spray may upset people. Like.
