Please don't delete D.Va or Brig's Police skins

These characters are not American.

This whole ACAB business is strictly American, and neither Brig or D.Va are American. Leave them alone.

This game is universal. Consider other countries as well.

I dont understand what removing them would even accomplish

The appeasing of “woke” teenagers on Twitter.

This reminds me of the Furia debacle from Paladins…

Brig, Dva and the noose spray are all fictional. None of them should be removed. If we removed everything that could be considered “offensive” in someones opinion then the game would be a void of nothingness and even then someone would probably find nothingness offensive.

Well removing them seems to be offending you pretty hard.

Gotta love how the original intention of those skins have nothing to do ACAB or BLM and people advocate removing. Cancel culture = Cancer Culture

Well, I write fiction. :yum:

This game is a literal shooter with guns. You can kill several characters of different ethnicities with said guns. Overwatch is inherently not PC, and it shouldn’t be changed to accomodate this delusional narrative that ACAB. Maybe in the US, but not anywhere else to my knowledge.

Yep. Most media isn’t “PC”. We love violence. It’s in all our movies, games and stories.

UK Police were declared institutionally racist 20 years ago, basically nothing has been implemented to change that, and every report since has found them to have failed to improve, and fail to take on in any serious capacity any recommendation to try to.

Isn’t Orisa like, an enforcer of the law? Kind of like an officer? I’m curious as to why I haven’t heard any requests to remove her as well.

Oh I wonder why.

Okay, and are Brig or D.Va British?

Orisa isn’t Police, she doesn’t do anything she does in any official capacity.

They are not, but I have no idea about the reputation of their respective countries police forces, and don’t pretend to - like you did.

I’m not pretending or confirming anything. I just don’t think American issues should have any impact on things that are non-American. Neither of the characters are American, so they should be fine.

Then you’re suggesting it’s a matter for Korean and Swedish players to decide? I’m okay with that, if they say they want them to go, will you still be mad?

Firstly, I’m not mad.

Secondly, it doesn’t matter who decides this. No other country has this extremist ACAB mentality, and it shouldn’t affect characters from other cultures.

Lots of countries have terrible police forces that nobody trusts. What are you even talking about?

Weren’t you mad at Blizz’s capitulation to China over Hong Kong? Or were you backing the Chinese Police tear gassing, shooting, and abducting people from peaceful protests?

Neither Brig or D.Va are Chinese, so that’s irrelevant. An important conversation to have, but irrelevant to this.

People are quick to talk about how bad police are but just as quick to hide/refuse to talk about the good police who are caught in the middle of it.

As always negativity wins ver positivity, the skins should not be removed just because they are police-themed of their respected countries.

Nothing will change removing the skins part from upset those (specially the D.va skin) who paid money for it just because of a bad police force in another country.
