So like what if… her damage and healing beams could like combine when she ults?? Maybe?? Probably a stupid idea but :woman_shrugging::sparkles: I feel like Valkyrie could use some help

I have said this before as well in my posts. I love this idea! Kind of how Moira’s ultimate let’s her damage and heal. I would love this idea, because even tho it is 60hps chaining to everyone, people would all be incentivized to do damage with the 30% damage buff, because they are also constantly receiving heals. It would really solidify Mercy’s ultimate as this push-type ultimate, with her as this guardian angel leading the charge, or even popping it to try and support the team to fight back against an attack. Honestly this one change would be amazing! And the visual would just be clicking either the healing button or the damage boost button work provide the beams, but the beams would be the blue beam in the middle of the two yellow beams. I want this so badly!

Me too! Honestly it might even be enough to make it feel impactful. Like that might be all they need to do. Base Mercy is fine. But like I feel like she is a character without an ultimate sometimes.

Good idea but steps on coeleasence’s toes a bit in terms if heal / damage combined stream.

I’d prefer to see the rez cool-down timer reset when popping Valkarie as a buff.

I could talk about changes i’d want for Mercy all day but unfortunately it’d just be thrown away into the trash bin aka mercy megathread with no response from really anyone.

Mercy buff? She’s actually balanced right now, there’s no reason for a buff. And despite all the “no skill mercy memes”, she’s reasonably impactful at the moment. Well, at least feels more impactful than heroes like Orisa, Rein and Winston.

The only healer that needs a buff is Ana. All the other healers are perfectly viable and good in different situations.

If you want to change her, she needs another rework… Which is a road that i’m not sure if I want to cross right now.

I’d like if this buff were to go through, since there’s nothing really stunning about her ultimate when comparing to other support ultimates.

I think Valkyrie needs a buff because it doesn’t feel like an ultimate ability. Mercy’s base kit is very strong so the devs have no choice but to make her ultimate a little mediocre compared to the other supports. Res is way too strong to be an ability. If it were up to me, I’d want to take power out of mercy’s base kit and move it to her ult, even if it means replacing res completely. Right now she’s technically balanced but I don’t think designed very well.

But I have to disagree with your statement about rein, orisa, and Winston being unimpactful. With the right people they can really carry games!

valk is strong. mercy doesn’t need buffs. the only help valkyrie needs is making it more engaging.

valkerie is one of the most powerful ults in the game, if im not mistaken it results in more won team fights than zen ult and lucio ult in high elo and owl.

I don’t mean make it op like a few months ago, that’s the last thing any of us want. Just little things to make it more potent and have a bigger impact on the fight.

that’s just it. the problem with valk isn’t that it lacks impact. it’s very strong. but because of how it is right now (it’s output being spread over it’s long uptime), it’s best used a push ultimate, not a defensive ultimate.

also the problems people generally have with valk is how boring it is. it’s the hold mouse button mechanic without need to change primary targets. combining the beams into one doesn’t fix that.

I mostly play all of the supports and when I ult during the fight I feel like I’m having much more of an impact than Valkyrie, especially trans, beat drop, and coalescence.
