I recently made it to plat 1 on dps in solo queue, my friend decided to play with me, every game since has been heavily one sided.

Queing with a someone, AVERAGES your MMR due to “team averages” during and maybe after a game. It might even average and then “artificially increase” your MMR to justify playing harder opponents.

Even if you find a duo whom you synergize well with you will likely lose more unless one of you is smurfing. This is even moreso the case in larger groups.

And they say… 5 STACKS are OP! Yes, this is how the MM behaves when you stack up. Games become way more difficult for the stack. Duo, Tripple, Quad, 5Stack - all are different in a way how MM behaves with only a similarity - it’s getting harder the wider the stack.
I was literally doing really good in plat i played for half a day with my friend, game become harder and now even while playing alone everything is stacked against my team.
We are either versing god tier teams or in a winning match where both myself and the other DPS are doing well, my tank says after losing one fight “how did we lose that fight?” then says “GLHF” and leaves, how do I go from playing in plat, winning games and making plays comfortably, to playing a few games with a friend, to now struggling to even sniff a win in silver.
This matchmaker does not seem right, it makes a game I love playing a real struggle to even think about spending any money on or playing with friends as it seems to think playing with friends deserves a punishment.
because in Sliver/bronze ur teammates are sooo bad that it is hard to carry.

Still I wasnt in silver at that stage, Games were going well while I was in Plat, I played with my friend and dropped to high gold.
I then struggled to win anything from there and kept dropping.

Yea it leaves a long lasting Mmr effect. Just have to lose until you win again.
It’s so hard to play with a friend. I dropped to G2 due to losing every game with my friend. He’s not even doing poorly. I win much more in solo queue, but it’s boring to play alone

same here, previous season I was getting alot of wins and loss streaks, that stopped now for solo queue unlesss I play with a friend

This has never been a thing.
Being solo, duo or 5 stack makes no difference to how your MMR is calculated. Other than you can minmax lobbies to force more advantageous adjustments, if you are micromanaging that.
You really have no idea what you are talking about. Group MMR is calculated differently than Solo MMR.
Winning games with a group can change your MMR entirely.

Your solo MMR is all that adjusts. Your group MMR is just the average MMR of the players in the group.
It can. It will change everyone’s individual MMR. The group doesn’t have an MMR, it just uses the average of the players in the group.
You can literally see how your MMR changes after every match. You can easily see how you are wrong.
I’ve seen it in the past when I use to duo, games get crazy hard and continue to be hard AFTER you duo as well.
That’s all in your head.
They aren’t matched any differently and they don’t have any impact on your account. Outside of the usual win loss change.

You don’t get treated differently from session to session. Blizzard aren’t that good at programming.
