With Support changes and nerfs now being an inevitability, we might as well speculate on what they’ll be instead of going full doomer mode and expecting the game balance to collapse.
I’ll go first, here’s what I’d like to see:
ANA
Biotic Rifle
- Ammo reduced from 15 to 14
Biotic Grenade
- Cooldown increased from 10 to 12 seconds
- Grenade now passes through allies that are missing less than 60 health
Nano Boost
- Damage Amp/Resist reduced from 50/50 to 40/40
BAPTISTE
Biotic Launcher (Alt)
- Ammo reduced from 13 to 12
Regen Burst
- HoT effect is halved on self
- HoT increased from 40 to 50 HP over 4 seconds
Immortality Field
- Health cap reduced from 25% back to 10%
ILLARI
- Hitbox size increased by 5%
Solar Rifle
- Hitbox size reduced from 0.1 to 0.05
- Damage reduced from 75 to 70
- Headshot multiplier increased from 1.5x to 2x
Healing Pylon
- Health distribution changed from 75 Health and 50 Shields to 100 Shields and 25 Health
KIRIKO
- Hitbox size increased by 5%
Healing Ofuda
- Healing reduced from 13 to 12 per individual Ofuda (Total per burst 130 → 120)
Kunai
- Hitbox size reduced from 0.18 to 0.16
- Damage increased from 45 to 50
- Headshot Multiplier reduced from 2.25x to 2x
LIFEWEAVER
- Health reduced from 175/50 to 150/50
OR
Healing Blossom
- Max healing reduced from 75 to 70
LUCIO
Sonic Amplifier
- Reload time reduced from 1.5 to 1.3 seconds
ZENYATTA
Orb of Discord & Harmony
- Projectile Speed increased from 90 to 100 m/s
Orb of Discord
- If cleansed or wears off, goes on a 6 second cooldown
- Manually reapplying the Orb to another target cuts the cooldown in half
- Assists and kills with Discord reset cooldown
Throw in some compensatory DPS nerfs along with changes that reduces some Tank’s kill potential and OW would probably be in a decent state.
It didn’t sound like they’re going to buff the weaker support or give new utilities for simple heroes like moira. The nerfs will probably be done for the support passive, even though I feel like it should be removed from heroes like ana/bap who doesn’t really need it.
I’d rather see them remove the passive from ana and revert the nade self-heal to 100HP (for ana only). So that you’ll be able to punish her more easily when she’s out of cooldown as well as discourage ana players from just yeeting the nade as soon as it’s off of cooldown. But I doubt they’re going with that route.
But then again, with the recent rework of sombra + lack of off-tank tank to peel, I’m not sure if ana can survive without the passive anymore. Bap probably still can, since his shift isn’t as important as nade, so he can afford to waste it on himself. Not to mention he also has his immortality field to protect himself and exo boots to reposition.
The survivability nerf should mostly be done to bap and illari because they’re the supports with too much self-sustain right now. Maybe kiriko as well if necessary. Of course, moira has one of the best self-sustain in the support roster, but it comes at a cost of lacking in utility so it’s fair.

They are slowing them down. Increase CD on things that get you out of a corner.
And maybea couple eat some heal nerfs. But I don’t think everyone is gettinga blanket treatment.
Mercy’s range will be tweaked.
Baps CDs will increase.
Ana nade maybe somehow weakened finally?
But I don’t see it being a everoyne heals 10% less or have 15% worse CDs across the role.

It is hysterically bad, but I genuinely don’t think they see or understand it. And players who are like ‘Lucio doesn’t need buffs’, I totally get, fair. He’s the most balanced support right now imo, and I get players think that it’s like, just for Lucio players to frag and meme kill. But KB is really important for Lucio’s kit to disrupt and keep distance…environmental kills are sort of the bottom of the list of what it is necessary for, actually. And with it as weak as it is (and we can see that, because every other knockback is just superior right now), he can’t do the job he was designed for (disruption), and it’s not a great tool to make space for himself, either (Zen’s snapback kick is stronger at that, frankly!).
Legit, just a small distance/consistency buff to make it around level with the other KBs in the game would do so much for his kit in terms of him being played how he was designed.
It will be nothing of meaning. They always give the support role compensation buffs whenever they do nerfs so it never feels like nerfs. Notice how the other 2 roles never get that kind of attention. The bias is crazy.

I like the list personally. They specifically said “higher vulnerability window” so that would translate into less self healing and longer cooldowns for self healing abilities or even escapes, so at least half of the change would just buff/nerf them.
It will be very interesting. Has anyone any idea when the mid season patch is going to happen? Next week would be my guess.

Yeah totally agree with yo without booping lucio just feels useless, boop was his thing you know and for the love of god DELETE THE TANK PASSIVE!!!(that last part was for the meme, but, I actually hate that thing)
