Why bro?? can’t you take one loss and appreciate the opposing team’s work?
You don’t always get to be victorious you know?
Be positive and kind to others, say GG even when you lose.

On console the best I can do is just give sportsmanship to the enemy team if they played well
i only say GG when i notice the chat box is filled with gg
I only say gg if I consider it a good game, with good plays from both sides and a close match.
Stomps, even if they’re a display of skill from one team, are more about bad matchmaking/luck.
If I’m on my main I say gg in both cases, if I’m on an alt then F it I don’t say gg regardless of the outcome.
When my team wins, we’re a team full of awesome human beings and playing with them was a pleasure. GG.
When my team loses, everyone on my team but me was a bot and/or the enemy team had smurfs. Not GG.
If I lose I’m salty. If I win I don’t want to seem unsportsmanlike. There are no ggs from me.
I don’t see typing “gg” as good sportsmanship, personally. I’d rather people didn’t type anything.
You said what I always do: 3/4 times the person instantly typing gg on a win is silent during a loss, so no it’s not “sporting” in reality. Seen it with the same players across matches way too many times to know better.
I legitmately forget matchchat exist unless I get a nasty kill on someone being cheesy
One time a mei was flanking she froze me as zen and she waved
and MISSED A HEADSHOT HUH
I 2 tapped her in head and said sit the f down
Well someone is a sore winner.
Besides the obvious no one on the opposing team is obliged to congratulate your victory, and if they do, go ahead and give them that “sportsmanship” endorsement, you know how often people on both sides leave as soon as the match ends? I frequently don’t even have time to congratulate or thank my tanks before they leave. It’s just the way of things.
But yeah, you might want to settle for not getting butt-pats from the enemy team often. Teammates don’t often speak to each other, and you’re upset they’re not talking more frequently to their opposition?
ITT: People that get buttmad when the team that beat them say GG.
I only say, “good game” in team / group chat and never in Match chat.
Whichever side I’m on, I’ll “GG” if it was indeed a noticeably good game and praise anyone who particularly stood out.
But really, an awful lot of games these days are stomp fests and win or lose, I’m rushing to the next game and tabbing/grabbing refreshments rather than wasting time on empty words.
Honestly, if I win, I say gg, if I lose, I saw ggwp. I may not do it every win or loss, but I do it for the majority of them.
Why would you even care? Most people are on to the next match anyways. “GG” is more of a celebration for the winning team or in rare cases a recognition of a close fought match.
If the game isn’t even close I see no reason to say “GG” at all, because it really wasn’t.
Am on it, unless someone says something really derogatory, then it’s “GG, cept for that guy”.
gotta admit… clicked on this expecting another whiny thread… was surprised it was just about parity.
I only say GG to match chat if I lose. I say GG to team chat when we win. I also keep match chat muted at all times.
Nah, just you being mad you got called out.
So many people gg only when winning, of course none of them wants to admit their bias. It’s hilarious to watch.
I’ll only type GG if it was a good game or a bad game where the winning team is humble and the losing team were good sports in spite of the bad matchup. That later option is just to be polite.
