I kinda agree. It’s almost more obligatory instead of genuine.
I don’t say a word to players because interacting with another player is a triggering microagression worth of being hardware banned, doxed, and beaten by a guy in a Reinhardt costume with a rocket hammer until all you can do is curl up in a ball and cry. Try again when you’re done seething in your self righteousness.
I only type bad game to let them know how EZ GG of a win it was and to let them know that they wasted my time by matching me.
I never type GG. It’s a stupid phrase.
Wow, so many honest people here. Usually when you make this topic the people who only say gg when winning come out in masses to swear they gg both win and loss and you’re a dum dum. Which obviously isn’t the case to anyone who has played ten games and has ten brain cells.
I don’t say gg ever. Because win or lose, we’re all still playing Overwatch.
I only say gg when it’s a fair match. Being stomped or stomped the enemy doesn’t feel good to said good game, cuz it’s not a gg.
Half the community finds gg toxic though…lol
Better than saying “GG” halfway through the first round.
say gg ez when you beat the alt accounts
How do you know anyone only says GG when they win?
Do you keep track of people between games and which ones say GG and when?
Or are you just projecting your own behavior on other people?
GG stands for good game.
Game is good when we win, right?
In the world of strength and competition, the winners win and the losers lose.
Accept defeat and work harder.
Wow so many Christians here. “I only say gg when I lose”. Those are the same people that get triggered when somebody writes gg when they win. Grow some self respect and rub it into the enemy team when you win. This is part of the game, just like t-bagging and some enemy provoking. Don’t wrap yourself in cotton candy. Play to win.
I would feel offended if the enemy team does not write gg when they win because they think I’m to much of a wimp to take it.
I do not even play on pc and even I know that people saying gg when they win is FAR more common.
I still more or less agree with your sentiment. But it is not a wild assumption.
I mean sure if it was a good game I’ll say it, half the time I don’t win or lose, I’m just lazy xD but haven’t you come away from a game that was so one sided that you just wanted to get out cause it was not a good game? I won’t say gg if my team stomps the other, I will if it was a long game that was back and forth even if its a draw.
i only say gg if it was actually a fun game with both sides playing well.
i assume people who say gg when 1 sides stomps are just trolling for a reaction.
I believe in OW use of the acronym GG by the winning team means “Git Gud”…
I say GG win or lose. It’s sportsmanship and has been ingrained into me through my 10+ years of playing.
Don’t turn GG into something it’s not. It’s simple sportsmanship, not someone taking a dump on you.
I prefer not saying gg at all. It’s annoying to see it coming from my team or the enemy team.
I do however say gg ez if someone on the enemy team was being particularly nasty
Usually I do this, but after particularly frustrating losses I have trouble saying it. In those cases it’s all I can do to keep from complaining or saying something critical to whichever teammate I feel cost us.
