What do I do guys. Can’t play most games with my friends do to packet loss popping up on my screen. I get 670 mbps. If this happens and I don’t force quit it usually just keeps me on the pick your guy screen. And nothing happen. Glitches a bit
Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out, as it can understandably be frustrating to have persistent problems when starting matches. Since there are many potential causes to the packet loss / connection loss indicated by the network icons that you’ve mentioned seeing to the left of your screen, if you haven’t already, be sure try these troubleshooting steps to narrow it down and hopefully fix the underlying problem.
If you have no luck, please run a WinMTR network test so that we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions. Use the game drop-down towards the bottom of the page to select Overwatch 2.
Once you have that WinMTR test data in a .TXT file, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the WinMTR data. It’ll look like this:

My internet is good on any game but OW2. There’s nothing I can do on my end that I haven’t already done. By any measure my internet is good on console, but still face lag, ping spikes where characters fly off the screen, and packet loss.
OW1 was never like this.
Can I do this on console?
Thanks for the tip, I’ve ran two test using Blizzard’s servers on my pc and attached the results into a ticket. Hopefully it helps in any way.
DadiDings - The WinMTR program is only supported to run on a Windows system, and our ability to troubleshoot console connection issues is unfortunately limited. If the console is connected via WiFi, you can try a direct Ethernet connection to determine if there is an issue with the wireless signal to the console. Otherwise, I recommend trying any of these troubleshooting steps that you haven’t already tried.
Hey @Skelgarer – any word on this? Rubberbanding/Lag Issue Replication & Detailed Steps
I assume its a similar/same issue to OP with more verbose context and steps to replicate. WinMTR results doesn’t show anything unusual. I made replies in other threads since I can’t reply to mine, but the issue appears to be volume or timing related. (Happens more around 7-10PM EST as opposed to off hours).
