OWL Skins are way too Expensive, Blizzard too Greedy

Let’s be Honest here, All skins from OW 1 are really Good, OW 2 is now really Mediocre. Did you just really increased its price from 200 OWL Tokens to 300? Seriously???

I bought the doom skin since i watched the streams, I want to buy the winston noticed the price increased, so yeah… i’ll pass.

Blizzard be really taking advantage of Players here.

yeah, its a change from the OW2 launch.
Teamskins from 100 to 150
and Special skins from 200 to 300
basically a increase of 50%
What I m also a bit pissed about is, that many old OW1 skins are not available and that there are no good discounts. Everything is just full of greed at blizzard.

i dont think they always were…but they definitely have been for a while…cause ive been lamenting the fact that im 1 token short for quite some time

did you see the collection of like 12 owl weapon charms i think it was. 1k tokens, and apparently that’s down from 2k. You can’t even buy 1k tokens - which, by the way, is an absurd amount of money, like 80 or 90 pounds. I just, I mean people can do what they want with their money but it just feels so icky. For DIGITAL content of a game that isn’t guaranteed to last forever.

It’s just pure greed, and the whole FOMO ‘they’re going to go forever’, it disgusts me. I like this game, but the blatant greed really puts me off.

Originally, special skins were 200 tokens. Then they went to 300 tokens after OW2 started. You also could get team versions of a special skin for 200 tokens, but those have been raised to 300 tokens as well.

The OWL shop doesn’t even close until Dec 2025. But token sales close Dec 2024. This is so predatory I can’t even fathom it. How did the industry get here and why are laws not in place to forbid all of this garbage from even occurring?

Yeah not interested in that offer, I’ll wait for one emote I missed in one the past BPs… Sorry Blizz can’t buy them all, might want to make something people will buy like the rest of the story.

Yeah I was keen for a couple skins…

300 each for the ones that are even remotely good? No thanks, Blizzard can keep em.

I had 332 OWL tokens just sitting around from streaming matches in the background while playing OW2. Rein was all I needed to complete the all stars set. All the other skins were meh at best.

The only other skin I wanted that did not appear in the shop was the Men in Black Zarya, but that one is not likely to return for other reasons.

Glad I bought the majority of the skins by watching the OWL.

The special skins I think have always been double the price of the team color skins.

This is not even new. They increased the price after OW2 launched.

Don’t buy them if they’re too expensive.

If everyone didn’t think they were too pricey, and still bought them, you’re just proving the point that they’re not too expensive and you’re willing to buy them at that price.

I’m done complaining about it. Sorry, I understand the defeatism in saying that and the whole premise of nothing will change if everyone thinks like that but nearly 2 years into overwatch 2 and let’s face it - nothing has changed. In fact, despite people hoping things might improve under Microsoft it’s actually just gotten worse. I’m just over it at this point. Is what it is.

The ocean is made out of water.

Not only did they increase the number tokens each skin costs, they also increased the price of each token bundle purchase from one to several extra dollars. It was a twofold greedy play by Blizzard.
