Games once had player models with a hue slider that you can change to whatever RGB value you wanted. Base game. Didn’t need a live service slopfest to be a middle man between you and a slide bar/rgb value that gets stored on a drive.

Now that the price point is outside your window, suddenly its “pure greed”.
Here is some news, people who paid for simple recolors were/are just as greedy as blizzard because you helped sustain a business model that priced other people out, purely on the basis of money. You got yours, screw anyone else who didn’t fork over arbitrary prices for a commodity with unlimited supply.
So welcome to the other side of the fence. Huff and puff all you want, you won’t find any sympathy from people who have warned for over a decade about paid horse armors.

I don’t like that skin at all, BUT- Zarya has some pretty good skins, it’s just that they’re skins that range from “good” to “ok” next to abysmal dogsh*t, so it stands out a lot more

I have a lot of OWL skins for both versions of the game and 92 OWL tokens but i am certainly not planning to buy more tokens to get more skins.
It seems that the devs haven’t learned anything ever since Bobby Kotick left because if they did the all of the: team skins, OWL grey skins and contenders skins could have price of 1000 legacy credits or 100 premium coins whilts OWL legendary skins could have been discounted 75%.

ya 20$ a skin alot… it should be 15 max, but what pisses me awf the most is blizzard gonna probably rerelease as a recolor or give out free for like an xbox deal for example. then im livid.
They literally said they got one from watching the streams (which means free) and wanted to get the other but it was too expensive. That triggered you to write this manifesto? Relax, bruv.
Despite the fact they exploded like a volcano, they kinda have a point. Just not sure if it’s a point that belongs here.
I remember back when people were talking about the leaks regarding Halo Infinite’s monetization plan. People voiced concerns about them dropping a pay to play model in favor of a F2P model where there would be regular updates, but you would have to pay $10 per BP.
Most people weren’t happy with this idea because we’d already experienced what kind of crapfest that can breed. Most didn’t want this change.
And then it was brought to light that Infinite would also feature a shop system, as you can imagine, people exploded with anger over this because they knew what was coming. Overpriced cosmetics. Regular whales/shills belittled those who contended against this, calling them poor and telling them they have no room to speak if they don’t have money to shell out.
Well, it took less than a year for even the whales and shills to start complaining because 343i and MS was shelling out crappy bundles for $30-40 for a handful of color palettes no one wanted, charms, a few terrible armor pieces, and emblems. With enough fighting, we got them to bring it down to about $15 for moderate bundles, but then they sneakily tried to push it back to $30, but ended up settling for $25 for many packs.
The issue is that some people who have the money to throw around defend greedy practices, until it becomes too much for even them to afford or if they find the content lacking versus the pricing. This makes them hypocrites because those of us who argued this initially already knew the crap storm that was brewing, they just didn’t want to listen and made donkey’s of themselves.
