Look, I think that you need to stop taking Blizzâs words at face value.
They think that Symmetra counters Genji. Their words can not be trusted, because most of the public faces and lead devs are more corporate than actual game makers.
Too many words, too little data, too little point on discussing over the words of breast milk thieves.
Because a lot of people would rather blame and scapegoat sentries and call Symmetra ââno skill cheeseââ over admitting they died to perfectly aimed orbs/beam.
Sentries themselves are nothing special in low tiers. They are not the boogiemen that a lot of forum/reddit keyboard fighters pretend they are. Specially when they dont even play in low ranks and instead pretend because they got their butts beat concave by a Sym in their actual rank.
Not even in paper, unless we reduce the entire thing to ââbeam counter deflectââ which is ignoring that her beam has 60 dps (less on the first seconds of a fight) and Genji has triple that damage instantly.
If you think that sentries are the issue, despite being nerfed for years with zero compensation, and not team TP, I think that you need to get off your high horse and actually listen to the people who main and breathe the hero.
It puts more emphasis on sustained fire rather than helping burst fire. Therefore, you canât really boost a hog hook. Reinhardt pin still only does 225 dmg. Sojourn rail gun dmg canât do much. However, it lets there be more spam in the game. People like S76 benefit either way. Anyone without a reload benefits greatly.
I can appreciate that you make suggestions for heroes and issues you see in balancing.
But when have the dev team ever listened to anything or anyone other than themselves? Theyâve done it once or twice years ago, but latelyâŚI wouldnât put any confidence that theyâd listen.
Iâm very interested in the specifics on that.

Well it would really only effect primary and secondary fire. It wouldnât work on ability cooldowns I assume. Iâd be okay with this change I think. Maybe not as the mercy player, but as a soldier or sombra Iâd like it.
Oh god bastion 30% fire rate increase though. Thatâs scary.
Reinhardtâs melee swing, any transformative ult like Genjiâs, any character that has on-hit effects like Reaper, any high alpha character like Pharah.
The only characters I see it being âmehâ on are ones that already have high ROF like Bastion, Tracer and Sombra.
No offence, but with the amount you post (seriously how do you have 61k posts I feel like a complete no-lifer for having a tenth of that!) Iâd chalk that up to luck more than anything. Roll 61k d1000 dice and youâll get at least a couple natural 1000s.
