I’m convinced at this point it’s either vaporware or a collective fever dream.
It would’ve been less painful if you didn’t show/announce it all those years ago, and we’d just be sitting here playing a life support game all this time
But since yall said “it’s coming oneday™ and we’re gonna cross that finish line and it’s gonna be great”
then disappeared out of the Milky Way Galaxy
…it just left us with lingering painful hope
And when a billion clues and hints and stuff pointed towards today having a reveal, everything was lining up, and nothing’s happened, I dunno man, I just can’t keep going on like this
I’m done rewatching cinematics to recapture my hopium. I’m done going into custom game maps for hours to explore every inch for a posisble clue to new OW2 heroes like I recently did JunkerQueen - I explored Junkertown for clues
I’m done ravenously clicking dev tracker every day when I wake up hoping to see something
Just gonna withdraw from society next Friday to play Elden Ring in my gaming cave until I see a news piece on phone about OW2 official news
A billion clues lined up towards there being a showcase in this general period of time. The only thing pointing towards that reveal being today was a dodgy leak.
That being said, if it does turn out that there’s no news this week or the next, then it’s pretty ridiculous that neither of the CMs stepped in to manage expectations. A simple “There’s no news coming this week/month” would have sufficed.
LMAO i thought this was just me . Me watching cinematics and blizzcon presentations pretending i’m seeing it in the first time to trick my brain into being excited and hopeful.
Watch them try to shamelessly put out announcements in March when other big games come out. Like what they tried, and failed, to do with WoW when FF14’s expansion came out lol. That was a pretty big L gaming wise the company took, they were pretty much laughed out of the room.
That’s been blizzard’s m.o. the last few years. They can’t sell a game on its own merits these days, only try to ride the hype of another title to try and snipe sales.
tbf at least in Metroid’s case they told us why it’s taking so long: they had to restart development. They had no obligation to tell us that, but they did.
Meanwhile we have no idea why a glorified DLC is taking this long to release.
We do have an idea, and that’s the rather expansive PvE side of the game. Assuming they want both parts of the game to go out at the same time, then that half of it is far from glorified DLC
