OW Classic proves one thing

THEY NEED TO GET RID OF SUPERTANK RAIDBOSSES

look how much better the game is when you can actually interact with the enemy tanks as a squishy without getting blown up!!!

Said no tank player.

What about OW classic was about “raidbosses” it was fun at first but then people started to pick out who was strongest and play those heroes

Just give it time… you will have a different thought process

Actually, said most tank players.
there is a reason many tanks want 6v6 back because 6v6 means weaker tanks we can actually interact with, without needing to counterpick or lose…

Tank players do not deserve rights.

Apparently we don’t… but who’s going to say something that causes that to change

In all seriousness, I believe the 6v6 tests will speak for themselves.

I believe the same will happen… but it’s going to take a lot of time for that to happen

well if that happened then role queue would have to go as well. not many people want to play the front guy who soaks damage so yea getting people to play them means buffing them to be super tanks

heh

Honestly I agree with you… but being the only one who wants to do that kinda sucks… and this proves it

And that’s why Super tanks saved the scene. No respect these days…

I think the sad reality is 6v6 rq will succeed but with the wrong solution of 2-2-2 despite it never going to be sustainable in long run, in the short term of 1 month especially holiday season it’s going to thrive.

Rq 2&2-2 will not work in long term

They need hybrid qs like 2 supports and dps tanks with limits on tank.

Open q is the solution.

Open queue wasn’t the solution back then and it won’t be the solution now.

Saving rq was not a good move.

Also i wouldn’t call current state as saved.

It’s when the game thrived everything after that has been less

No, the game definitely never thrived with open queue. It’s the reason they introduced role queue, because people were complaining about it. If open queue was popular, you’d think people would play it more than role queue when they re-added it as a quick play option back in 2019, but no, that didn’t happen.

Exactly! You know what it is all about. I said pretty much the same thing in a different thread. It’s so predictable.

Idk if I take owc seriously for any balance considerations. Rein is basically not a character, Winston is good in very specific situations. Hog and zarya are the only consistently good tanks because of their self sustain, and zarya gets basically one tapped by widow lmao

Edit: I forgot dva. Completely forgot. I’ve barely seen her, she’s worse than rein, and literally isn’t a real character

When they do proper 6v6 tests I will formulate a better opinion then. When they actually try to balance the game with modern sensibilities. I’ve missed 6v6 hog I’m ngl, same with sigma. I get it I really do, but owc is not very convincing for this argument.

Tanks instantly blowing up is not fun to play thats why most teams go 4-5 DPS. You get 2-3 widows and a mercy and they fold basically every comp

As a secondary mode and playerbase is split and it’s not longer balanced for it.

Imo, the game was in its best state prior to being infected with 222

It did indeed thrive back then, winning game of the year and many other accolades. People were willing to pay to play

So yes, it did thrive under roleless queue, for a long time
