Do you SEE how good Devs are setting up Shadowlands in WoW to be? I mean the communication between players and game creators is historic!
Y’all need to take a hint from whatever the developers over on WoW team are clearly doing right!
Overwatch could genuinely be saved if you listen to them.

People have been saying that for three years straight now bruv
And wait?! Overwatch still isn’t dead, even when it was “about to die” three years ago?! Weird…

Overwatch is many years away from dying that’s not even a remote distant possibly right now.

People did the same thing with s4 league for a decade+ it’s only just now dying out completely and that never had anything close to overwatchs playerbase.

Oooo I get it, Overwatch isn’t dead, the queue times just are.
Makes sense, nvm, don’t take any constructive advice from Shadowlands development process because #BlindLoyalism and #EasyUpvotes

WoW is advertising an expansion that will come out later this year
OW2 is still really early in development

It might not be ready to keel over yet, but “many” years is a bit of a stretch. Overwatch 2 is not a reset button, it is just a content drop.
This meme is getting rather sad & annoying, i’d wonder if the devs even wants to come here anymore after seeing how bad & whiny the forum community really is.
And no, i dont really care if this thread is sarcasm or not, it’s just spam at this point.

Idk what you’re talking about because I don’t play WoW.
What I do know about is Overwatch still having a MASSIVE playerbase.

Okay, a very bold declarative statement to make in a beloved game to many, especially with a clearly dedicated fanbase to a certain extent.
But I do agree that other games handle their communication better from the dev team to the players.
One dev team that consistently update a game I play is constantly just… on it! With patch notes shows to keep the players involved, Q&A sessions, constant interaction and asking on Twitter how the players feel about balance, skin polls, etc it just feels so much more involved and like we are heard more as individual players and as a player base and not just an audience.

I see what your argument is: I don’t play WoW, but nothing good can come from it or save Overwatch because I hate constructive criticism

Not close to dying. And it will see a jump when OW2 is released. As multiple sources have said, the only thing exclusive to OW2 is PvE. The new pvp maps, modes and changes(including appearance changes) should all be coming to OW1

Well, not dead yet.
Dying fast though.
Half the pros are leaving the game, owl is at like 1/4th the viewership. A bunch of orgs are leaving the game, OW twitch has a max of 20k viewers at peak. Contenders is almost non existent.
Yea, the games not dead yet, but its almost a 100% casual game, with no competitive or esports potential.

Even if overwatch 2 didn’t exist this games servers will still be running another decade. People underestimate how few players a game can have and still be profitable.
