There’s a link on playoverwatch(.)com to sign up for the beta available in April. But don’t bother clicking it, you get a message saying try again later.
Yea, it’s to be a dps.
Even the tanks are moving into being a fat dps. Hog and Ball creates space, even if they don’t tank much. (Frankly, Widow is able to create far more space effectively than most tanks.).
But as to why even have roles, good idea, if only Blizz never implemented RQ in the first place, we prob wouldn’t be here.
PC Gaming is also on the decline… but this isn’t apparent right now.
When Next Gen consoles with Steam availability stop being hold back because of the shortage… it will be.
Aaron needs to task someone else with doing the updates…hes terrible on camera
Nah, we’d still be here. The trinity system has been baked in since the beginning.
At least it’s not Geoff.
Well, you’re not wrong.
Considering that blizz lacklustre balance decision, yea, it’s highly possible that we’ll still be here eventually.
i mean ive never really seen him doing an announcement type deal…but he seems pretty comfortable being on camera the few times hes had to record himself talking about stuff in game…Aaron is…oof…robot (sorry Aaron)

I don’t believe for a second when Aaron says they’re going to start communicating to us on a more regular basis given it’s about the 40th time we’ve heard it.
That said though, he gave something resembling a roadmap. The NDA beta the pros are getting he referred to as an alpha. He said in April we’re getting a closed beta, and “later this year” we’re getting an open beta.
It’s not everything we want but it’s something. Worst case scenario I finally get to see what Sojourn plays like. I might even get to play her in April.
I’m not holding my breath on the open beta because they gave us an 8 month window for it, but I’m cautiously optimistic.
Y’all are a little too pessimistic, and I started posting on here out of sheer pessimism and negativity.
There is a reason written word and spoken word are two completely different things.
They released this expansion pass and left the actual game in a state of squalor for 3 years. Take from that what you will. Sadly, the actual game is going to be deleted for it.
They also announced new OW2 skins…
But that changes nothing.
Specially how minor they are.
Literally cosmetic, and exists to make us think more has changes than it has.
Like the video and site itself.
Ref to stockholder comment earlier.
Made me laugh tbh. Sounds like they have been forced to separate PvP and PvE and to actually start communicating by the higher ups.
Like they were actually planning to make the wait time unnecessarily longer then it needed to be.
I guess the lootbox sales dipped hard.
They’re still testing how to balance the support roster without blatantly gutting healing to the ground. Because they know the last test by OWL players failed when supports felt awful.
The separation was always the plan but I guess not Aaron plan. (I don’t know)
Either way found the latest tweet ironic to my point
aka
- it will begin late April (not this week unless that was about the Alpha that already happened and ended)
- It says new heroes… but it’s only one.
- Beta sign up goes nowhere right now
- Even though it’s been “zero days”, with the info dump yesterday, it’s been more of a day because nothing new was revealed past that.
It’s not uncommon for closed betas to only be part of the full product. It’s mainly to find glaring bugs and it can be easier to tune the game in smaller chunks by introducing the player to less variables at a time.
I’m happy enough with the update personally. We asked for communication and we got it. Not sure what else anyone expected. I doubt we’ll ever get a roadmap with dates or even windows.
Wasn’t this beta available 2 years ago though?
