Do you even know the game? How many hours have you played?
Kinda does tho. You’re the best at what you do, that’s a preeeetty solid sign that you’re good.

This is like, literally the only thing that should matter. Is the game fun to play? Yes? Then it is a good game, lol.
It’s so weird to me that people hate OW2 SO much, for doing what every other f2p shooter does, lol. Or maybe you just hate ALL f2p shooters?
You’re confusing Overwatch 1 with Overwatch 2.
Y’all need to get over trying to convince everyone that review bombing is cute and valiant. Almost all of us dislike Blizz for different reasons but that don’t mean I’m gonna start endorsing something I’ve always hated from the get-go.
Some of my favourite tv shows and films have been review bombed in the past for reasons totally unrelated to the actual product itself. It is cringe behaviour done by internet trolls who refuse to say anything constructive or worthwhile.
No it’s not but nice try.
Couple hundred hours in OW1. I noped out after the third time they essentially deleted my favorite at the time hero.
I’ve been following sentiment ever since… because I had a feeling the game would turn into a train wreck… and I haven’t been disappointed.
That’s not how that works. If I have to dig through a whole lot of unpleasantness to have fun… I probably just won’t bother. There’s enough games out there that don’t do that that I don’t need to give any time to one that does.
Also this ignores the fact that they’ve actively deleted a lot of fun things from the game. Or at the very least, deleted a lot of things I personally found fun.
This and a weird obsession with skins/cosmetics when no one in OW1 placed that much focus on acquiring every skin in the game. On top of that, OW1’s system of lootboxes literally stopped giving you new skins after a certain point because it prioritised duplicates towards the end of the game’s existence.
This “love” for everything OW1 is rooted in nostalgia and nothing else. Everyone has seemingly forgotten how miserable all of us were for the final 4 years of OW.
I don’t understand what you mean by this. What unpleasantness are you digging through? The UI?
I just click play game, and I’m having fun.

Like what? End of game cards? Is the only thing I can think of that I’d like them to add back. Although, even that is kind of irrelevant with the scoreboard existing now.
It might be a polished game but next to ow1 its a failure. Then add all the stuff they said wed get that we didnt paints a better picture. But ya next to palidans its better but sadly palidans is not the bar that was set thats just a sloppy copy of ow.
OW2 is not a bad game but it could (have) be(en) better.
The update to the 2 version could have fixed a lot of things but it didn’t really.
Imo, the frustration comes from here : people want to love this game but it doesn’t go the way they want.
It comes from both type of game and Blizzard history which both rely a lot on their community where OW team seems deaf to some of their players, or too slow to react.
Y’all need to get over trying to convince everyone that review bombing is cute and valiant.
Two long replies from you to this thread just to show you haven’t read anything I’ve said. The whole point of this thread was to admit review bombing is scummy but still do it.
Couple hundred hours in OW1
I baited you.
I didn’t want to know how many hours you’ve got.
I wanted to know how many hours you play a game that “is not good.”
(Let me predict your next argument, “OW1 isn’t the same as OW2,” yeah sure man, the sequel everyone ridiculed for not being a real sequel “is not the same game,” sigh c’mon.)
Quite true OP. The review bombing on steam is not going to change the average gamer’s mind. Actually a majority of OW2 players period do not care that much about the PvE thing.

I think a lot of players won’t try thanks to the review bombing, which is a shame, (for the players) but then again Blizz deserves every L they get, so in the end review bombing is probably a win.

Monetization, terrible game balance, bad match making, 5v5 being just straight up worse… all of that.
Like what? End of game cards? Is the only thing I can think of that I’d like them to add back.
Anti carries.
I’m probably a bit weird in that I’d rather play a hero who specializes in making sure the other team can’t win big than one that allows our team to win big… but it is how it is.
Most of the anti carries I used to love got reworked to be way worse at pulling that off. Mercy, Dva, and Brigitte in particular. They technically still exist but can’t pull do what they used to anymore.

Suck it up buttercups, blizz deserves it.
Then why would you object to me saying it’s scummy girl wut?
terrible game balance, bad match making, 5v5 being just straight up worse… all of that.
Well, if you don’t like these things, then the game wouldn’t be fun, would it?
As I stated originally, the only thing that should matter is if you are having fun playing the game. If the answer is yes, then it is a good game. If you don’t like the matchmaking, balance, and structure of the game, then you PROBABLY aren’t having fun, lol.
The game is AWFUL!!!
Continues to play the game daily
It really isn’t though. It’s a large step back from OW1 in the majority of departments with a large improvement in what is basically the Archives Event at this point.
I baited you.

In that case the answer is zero. Overwatch used to be a fantastic game. All my hours came from when I still held that opinion. Or at minimum when I thought the game was solid but was in a rough patch. I dropped it hard when the patch containing Brig’s rework and role queue dropped… because my opinion flipped.
(Let me predict your next argument, “OW1 isn’t the same as OW2,” yeah sure man, the sequel everyone ridiculed for not being a real sequel “is not the same game,” sigh c’mon.)
Nope. I stopped playing because it became too obvious to ignore the fact that they had zero respect for their past work and the people who loved it. That they had no qualms about tearing down the old to make way for the new… no matter how much backlash they got for it.
I wanted no part of a game dev team like that.
Then why would you object to me saying it’s scummy girl wut?
Cuz the point, my sugar, the whole point, is for people to acknowledge they do something :tty but still do it because they don’t think it’s a big deal and blizz deserves it - in other words, some honesty in this intellectual dishonesty infested world we have today.
I wanted no part of a game dev team like that
Yes, HONESTY, thank you, AND THEY DESERVE IT, but don’t have qualms about saying you review bombed just because someone thinks it’s wrong to do so. IT IS. So what? Doesn’t make you wrong! Doesn’t mean Blizz don’t deserve it! To hell with the moral high horsing and grandstanding. Leave that to the clowns on reddit and twitter.
