"Our DPS did nothing"

I’ve had way too many matches where I’ve created an opening for the team, die in the process because I’m not getting healed, only for the rest of the team deciding not to capitalize on my sacrifice, making all that effort pointless. People being allergic to the point is immensely annoying.

You sacrifice actually scares your teammates away. No one wants to die as well.

That is no excuse. If I manage to get a quadruple kill with my ult, leaving just 1 - 2 enemies (depending on if one was already dead) while the rest of my team is near the point, I don’t care if I die in the process, you better be on the dang point. This is especially true if there is very little time on the clock. If it’s overtime you better be on that point, not hiding behind a wall because you’re scared to die at the end of the match. Cowardice reaps no reward.

maybe people should stop and reconsider what “our dps did nothing” could mean.
maybe they were refering to,

“our dps couldn’t take advantage of the small windows we gave them and we couldn’t do more stuff than we allready did, so we lost”

but i think in most cases, i think people just think the game revolves around dps so much that it hinges on the dps to carry, or atleast carry their part to be able to win at all.

Cowardice reaps survival, which is better reward, than stepping on objective, only to die second later.

And, to be honest, Overwatch objectives are a nightmare from tactical point of view - open area with lots of angles for defenders to shoot from.

No… I say this when I as a main healer/main tank have gold damage or gold elims.

And no, I’m not counting Moira.

It’s this mindset that keeps me from respecting tanks or supports. If time is running out, or there are so few enemies on the point while you outnumber them, then get on the bloody point. I don’t care if you want to have the satisfaction of being alive. Cowards never win.

People in general cannot comprehend the idea that the enemy might have outplayed them, and no-one on their team trolled.

In my mind I win, because I didn’t die. Your sacrificial mindset is what keeps me from working with DPS, as I don’t want to follow potentially suicidal player to my own death as well.

You have no honor. It is better to die in battle knowing you did all you could than to live in defeat knowing you could’ve done more. Your ancestors are ashamed.

True, I have no honor or loyalty, for the most part. I am mercenary, that was hired to provide certain service for team.

You mercenaries are all the same. They take the money and then soil themselves behind a wall as they watch real warriors do combat. Absolutely disgraceful.

Money is money, and you can’t enjoy spoils, if you are dead. For living, there is next time, for dead, there is none.

Perhaps you may not be able to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of being a hired dog if you die in battle. But you do get to enjoy the everlasting pleasures that await in Valhalla after an honorable, warrior worthy death.

As if I believe in Valhalla, or afterlife to begin with.

There, you see? There is doubt within your heart. Doubt leads to cowardice. I can assure that Valhalla is real. I should know, I’m a Reaper main, I have died and been resurrected many times. I’ve seen it, enjoyed my stay every time. Except for that time they invited Brad. Brad was a d***.

This is an epic war story you two are sharing lol

Only fools have no doubts. Smart people are aware of limits of their own knowledge.

Maybe a smarter person lives longer. But their lives a ruled by the fear of death. I am not chained by that fear. I know I will die, and as such I have no regrets, no matter what I do. We all die eventually. The question is how will we be remembered. I choose to be remembered as the man who rushed in valiantly to secure the victory for my team.

Death is exit for weak. It’s easier to die, than to live with regret.
It would be me, who remembers your sacrifice, otherwise it would be forgotten.
