"Our DPS did nothing"

Elims are a team stat… everyone has it, it is so cringe when people act like they are carrying because they played tickle monster with the enemy team.

Death is merely the end to all things, be you weak or strong. I hold no regret in my heart, so I have the strength to do what must be done. It would be all too easy to sit by and watch as the enemy gets away with a pointless trinket or delivers a bomb or EMP, but it takes true strength to look upon the enemy, see the overwhelming odds, and steel oneself to a final act of valor. Worst case scenario, you die, remembered for all time. Best case scenario, however, you win the fight and bring glory to yourself, your family, and your kingdom.

Some things in life are worse, than death. You find comfort in certainty, while rushing towards it.

Don’t think, that it’s easy to watch your allies fall dead. As you know, that it won’t be last time you get to see that.

This I cannot argue with, afterall if the enemy does not kill you, they could capture you and t-bag all your efforts. There is no certainty is the final battle, for it could end in any manner. Yet, I fear none of the outcomes. Let come what may, I shall not allow the enemy get away with whatever pointless trinket they are trying to steal or prevent me from claiming, for that would be the absolute worst outcome.

I meant certainty, because you know, that you either win or die. There is no third outcome.

There is torture, humiliation, and failure. All potential outcomes. There is no greater disrespect than when the enemy t-bags, waves, dances, or t-poses on a valiant soldier’s final stand. There are times when this can happen even without death, for when that blasted timer goes out, and the gods freeze time to declare a winner, the valiant warrior could be mere centimeters away from claiming his or her destiny, only for it to ripped away by the hands of time. There is no greater disappointment than when this occurs.

But the purpose of dps is not to deal damage.
It is to get kills. And not JUST kills, you need to get a clean teamwipe on offense or you cannot win objective. Its not enough to kill one person every once in a while. You need to be decisive as dps.

That gold damage means absolutely nothing if it doesnt convert into kills. Sure, tanks are just as often at fault for not creating space, not countering enemy ults, and dealing their own share of damage. But dps at low ranks is absolutely god-awful. Its a safe bet they dont know what they are doing. And even if they did know their character, they dont know ( or accept) strategy of the game.

If tanks create space, and support prevents people from dying, yet nothing happens; whose fault is it?

EDIT: Ok, I got bit too unfair toward dps… after all, Blizzard has put so many “No, you wont die” abilities into the game. Zarya bubbles, dva matrixes, invul fields, resurrects, etc. Its much harder for a one dps to carry the game the way they used to. Now you gotta bait and exhaust enemy cooldowns and work with the team to get into the position of being able to deliver a killing blow. Guess how many have the patience for that…

Which is why I got no honor or loyalty. You just cut away pieces of your own mind, until there is nothing left, that can care.
It allows you to endure things, that would break most humans, but price is your own humanity.

One of these days you shall see. When it is all on you, when you’re left with no other option, when your action or inaction means the difference between a loot box or no loot box, you will see. The path to glory is laid out before us all, it is only a matter of time before we take it.

There is third choice - neither of those. Sometimes ignorance truly is a bliss.

Yes, and I see you are living quite blissfully. That will change one day, as it does for all who enter the battlefield.

DPS has the most carry potential in the game.
Tanks and Supports are enablers and can only carry to a certain extent.

Though I will admit that I am guilty of this sometimes, it is quite frustrating as a Tank or Support knowing full well you’re doing your job but both DPS are… mediocre to say the least.

Then you’ll find threads complaining about DPS Moiras/Anas/Baptistes lmao.

Like you, I came to terms with my death. I just don’t rush it.
And I am not concerned with it being valuable or not - after all, it’s entirely my own choice, what to spend on most precious thing you are given.

There is no rush, true. But are you really alive if you don’t take risks? If stay on the beaten path, wandering around, hiding behind corners until die in your bed. Ask yourself, were ever truly alive? All those lost matches, all that pointless junk stolen, was it really all worth it? The chance to dine in the halls of Valhalla with your brothers and sisters from the battlefield, the chance to reconcile with old enemies, gone from inaction and cowardice. What is a life without excitement or risk? Is it really a life worth living?

“It’s everyone else’s fault. I did everything fine.”

This “wonderful” mentality can apply to any role. Idiots aren’t role exclusive.

Mentally, I died long time ago. Or, more correctly, I mentally killed myself - killed human part of me.

What’s left isn’t exactly alive, but isn’t dead either. So I can’t answer your question, because I am not sure, what being alive is.

How unfortunate. It is clear that I cannot convince you, who has less life and vigor than that of a tree stump, of the glories of honor, as you cannot convince me of the glories of cowardice. You will continue to exist, going from battle to battle, sometimes winning, sometimes losing, and getting whatever reward you seek either way, while I will continue to charge into battle to secure the win or die trying, hoping that at leas tone of my teammates follows behind me.

Good day… night… morning?

-> enemy runs phara mercy
-> i keep my soldier and mccree healed as ana to help them kill phara mercy
-> they keep dying every fight besides my healing
