u didnt count the 80d burst combo nor did u count her charge time, so let me just start forgetting things like u do and say sym deals 15 dps.
Yes, we all se that post, but again here we where talking about against tanks, the bug fix against the tank only helped to not to that first reduced damage.
Ya she was already melting tanks before the big fix because they were large targets and super easy to track.
The bug fix helped with everything else lol.
Now after the damage nerf she is weaker against tanks but still a buff for everything else.
I too ignore almost all the details in a matchup
Zarya wrecks Symmetra, Hog wrecks Symmetra, Hammond can disorient/displace Symmetra, Winston can jump Symmetra…
That’s just not true at all. Those heroes are virtually untouched and Sym destroys all of them.
we’re you the person i was talking to? i dont remember but if you were you should know our debate has turned into a who can find the stupidest excuse
Zarya kinda 50/50 but Road and Hammond can 100% kill Sym, lol. Especially Roadhog. I don’t think Winston is that much of a threat though.
omg, the bug was that the 1st tick from missing was dealing reduced damage. That’s what was fixed. Nothing to do with prescribed dps values. Nothing about beam hitbox registry. If you’re hitting now, you were hitting before.
note: numbers shown is calculated dps not damage per tick.
The fix only effected missing. If syms are missing so much that the bug fix caused a 40% increase in average damage output for sym, then it obviously wouldn’t be high since they’re missing so much.
But you want to know what’d likely be the main cause of such a spike? The fact that before the sigma patch, sym would be able to get lvl3 beam (195dps) maybe like once every 2+ fights and it’d be some time in the middle of the fight and relied on orb burst combo’s for picks more. Now, sym gets 195dps at the start of every fight.
the beam fix didn’t help sym not being able to approach enemies, didn’t help sym’s survivability to live long enough for her delays, didn’t help her now over reliance on her team because of tp nerfs. i.e. her core issue that’s been plaguing sym’s viability has not been improved. except the meta comp literally caters for all those weaknesses to the point where sym can just w+m1.
Sym being “OP” is a product of double shields.
The trick with Winston is to jump directly on Symmetra and hope she isn’t already charged up. The bubble around her will prevent outside healing assistance. Zarya at any charge higher than 30 should do more than enough damage to Symmetra for her to die.
She has too much health. Symmetra does not.
