One negative feedback i can already give

I disagree. I’m glad the scoreboard is available during the match.

While toxicity is bad, it’s unavoidable & it’s good to be able to hold people accountable if they’re being dishonest about their performance. Trolls/toxic players who complain about their teammates while not contributing much themselves will quickly be called out.

Hiding the scoreboard until the end of the match will not stop toxic players from being toxic, it’ll just guarantee that they’ll be extra toxic as the game is ending

as opposed to today where people go “I HAVE GOLD MEDALS U SUCK”?
at least now you get useful info instead of those god forsaken medals that tell you nothing at best and trick you into thinking you’re playing better than you actually are

I see it as a way to avoid the low skill player instead of avoiding everyone in ow 1

People who are going to be toxic are going to be toxic. At least now we actually have the information at our feet. OW1 taught us that hiding the information did little to diffuse the toxic situation.

I agree on this point. creates unnecessary competitive hostility within your team, it would be much better to have it at the end of the match. and during the private match only in their own performances, without the medal system that has always generated useless toxicity (you know, “I’m gold”)

“I have gold damage” is already a thing. Now there’s transparency. I prefer it that way. Toxic people are already toxic.

Yeah, communication is toxic in and of itself you know? Just look where being social has gotten society to today, it’s a mess!

My worry is that toxic members don’t just “one and done” it with a comment about how X member is useless… they spend half the match staring at the scoreboard and typing/talking about how X member is useless and these are the reasons why, leaving the team at a 5v6 disadvantage.
At least in OW1 when someone screeches at me about being a “useless Mercy main”, that’s literally all they have so once that one comment has been given, they keep playing.

You are very optimistic that they will analyze it.

My guess is that they will pick on whatever is at the bottom without reading the numbers at all.

Because Overwatch is was a casual shooter that attracted a large audience that used to play other types of games and do not have the desire and/or the patience to deal with this kind of drama.

Nope, people need to know if you’re actually playing the game or if the monitor is off.

Private profiles or scoreboards people can use to gauge if you’re with them or not. Pick your poison. Can’t have it all!

As if people needed a scoreboard. If anything, it might make people more self-conscious when they try to call out someone and they’re not even on top of the scoreboard.

Oh man I was so excited to reply to you but I was looking for D.VaDiff.
Have you seen the D.Va changes or gotten access to the Beta yourself? I think you’ll thoroughly enjoy her new state!

More transparency the better. Also, who even cares what some toxic loser says in chat. Why do you even have the chat window open in the first place and if they are being toxic in voice, why are they not blocked?

No thanks, I’d like to know who the problem is mid-match so I can help out.

In beta nobody is caring about scoreboard, even competitive custom game matches with random people.

This is an excellent feature also, if someone was a bad person, just report.

I will 100% back this being a TOXIC issue in the game. It should not be there.

All other Esport type games have scoreboards of your team, Overwatch players are just too soft to realize this. Toxicity is everywhere, but there are ways you can minimize it, not by removing features that good people and players use in game, don’t punish everyone just because the bad people are using the info wrong.

Think that it depends on how it’s done….a standard scoreboard has very little uses in OW so it doesn’t really get used in a positive matter (it’s really just what’s currently available when you hit tab, but for everybody)…

So doing it in this fashion is I think just gonna result in increased negative usage…so why bother?

To my perspective. I’m fed up with having good stats in games and getting accused of playing bad when if only people can see my stats so I can prove them wrong. No more “I have gold this and gold that” when the whole truth has been revealed by pressing Tab.

I understand loads of people are saying “This would bring too much toxicity”. You get toxicity everywhere for anything so it doesn’t matter if it’s for the best or worse. Just turn off chat and all socials.

If they want to change it. They could just show it at end of game if it’s a better solution.
