Ya remember guys if a nerf doesnt happen for mercy its cause the devs are scared of mercy mains. Ignore that she is the most nerfed hero in the game that is not relevant at all.

Yeah, that’s why I’m not so sure. He is part of the crowd who will swear up and down the game’s health is negative solely off this character and it’s just a net negative to the game entirely when they get listened to.

Back in the day when they revealed hero usage rates Mercy ranked as the 2nd most popular hero in the game right after Genji. Since she’s such a popular hero it is no wonder that there is so much hate when she gets abused by the balance devs. Back in the day when she was at 60hps while being balanced they just absolutely trashed her by nerfing it down to 50hps that made her heal less than many heroes without any utility in her kit. She was a horrible pick and it took them 1,5 years to only halfway revert that abysmal nerf to 55hps and she still struggled to be viable in any other meta besides when she was pocketing Ashe when Hog/Zarya/Zen was the comp to play
So when Mercy players get abused this horribly by the devs while being one of the most popular heroes, it is absolutely no wonder why they’re so on edge with everything regarding her. Especially because again she’s getting unnecessarily nerfed without any buffs to compensate while not even being good at GM ranks to begin with. It is super toxic towards them to make changes like this. Oh and also we’ve lost a hundred thousand players just because they trashed her. So whoever made these decisions not based on highest tiered performance should be on the streets

People have always said don’t go to the forums, it’s mostly Mercy mains on there. Almost all my topics on Mercy have been flagged.
It’s the reason damage boost took 6 years to finally get nerfed, the hero is babied more than any other hero. Remaining the easiest, low skilled hero in gaming.

The ‘‘Mercy mafia’’ is a fictional boogieman made up by complainers that want to win 2v1 fights and need some kind of underdog story to give them credence.

I agree I think it should be a murder of mercys. It’s ironic because they don’t do much damage.
And they fly. So that works great. 
Lets be fair as much as some people like Mercy, and others like to Play her she has never been a strongly supported hero. Nerf after nerf, complaint after complaint. Reworks and so on have all hit mercy over the years and no amount of fan feed back or outrage has ever done a thing.
In fact the Mercy Mega thread was one of the first cases of censorship I noticed on this board as they just dumped or deleted any post mentioning Mercy to that thread, and ignored it.
So no the Mercy fans are not a Mafia, they don’t even have the pull the Girl Scouts do.

they have a discord server but you will get kicked out in say one bad word about mercy. i can say from experience

Mostly it was a one-time deal, back when Aria Rose organized a huge raid into the Overwatch forums. It was non-stop Mercy threads for what felt like weeks. The damage is done, though, and long-time Mercy posters–whether they participated in the raide or not–will forever be looked at with suspicion.
Really, the DVa Syndicate is the one you really have to watch out for.

there’s no mercy mafia. majority, if not all, of the mercy posts created in this forum are made by whiny players who try to coerce the mercy main community to give a reaction, and unfortunately some of us fall for it.

yeah during the whole aria rose drama, a lot of the mercy main community were really getting a lot of heat. she has no business in starting that raid and majority of us mercy mains absolutely cringe at the mention of her. she brought her downfall upon herself.

Outside of Twitter? no. The stan culture around Mercy on Twitter and TikTok does exist, but I doubt it is as bad as people may say, and you’ll never see the “mercy mafia” on the forums or reddit.
I remember watching it go down and it wasn’t as bad as people were making it out to be.
Like most of the threads got deleted before they had 3 responses.
I just felt bad for those who were trying to post threads during that time cause they got Thanos snapped as well.

She is the most popular hero by far in overwatch, so mercy mafia does exist.
They only manage to soften the blows to mercy though.
Which is still a accomplishment given the hate she recieves from Cc and some Dev’s

Yeah devs have mentioned that heroes like her, Ana, Genji, and D.Va are always popular so pick rates are always going to be skewed.
