Hey folks,
Just wanted to notify PS4 players that there was an issue last night for Australia/New Zealand players where they were unable to connect to one of our major Sydney servers. Please keep in mind that ONLY PS4 players were affected by this. Our Engineers believe that problem is fixed now. To check to see if you are affected by this problem, you can open the network graph while playing your next few matches tonight. If you find that you are never connecting to the SYD2 server, that would be good information for us. Otherwise, we can treat this issue as resolved and look at the other issues we were seeing in your region.

Thank you Drakuloth for brining this to attention and potentially having it fixed. I’ll be sure to report back once I am home and have done a test.

Looks like reports of this problem have dropped significantly in the last ~2 weeks. The internal tool we were using to track average latency also shows improved connections to the oceanic servers for major Australian ISPs. For now, we’re going to close this up. If things come back we’ll open a new thread abut it.
