My mates will argue with me about this for hours and hours and hours…

3ds/DS/GBA/GB etc, are fine to exist. Switch/Switch2 emulation should be cracked down on as hard as possible imo because they’re Nintendo’s current systems. Most people will get angry about Nintendo doing this, but I’d like for them to continue making stuff, so …

I mean, is a gray area tbh. Because one hand folks would want to play their games for longer time, but that just makes sense if the said hardware and software aren’t in the market anymore. Folks doesn’t own anything aside the hardware.
So, if there’s no hardware out there to buy, folks could try to customize it. Software side of things can be tricky due some is just a lease others are the software itself.
If is software itself, could fit the rule of not being in the market. While if is a lease, well… That’s a different thing.
Agree. Although folks should thrive to at least have the console and game if is possible. Being able to access something like an old atari is important to preserve history by example.
NSO will not be able to provide all games from the older consoles. So, makes sense to exist as emulator due nintendo itself and other companies aren’t selling specific games anymore.

Even then, you can get a flashcart and essentially “emulate” on actual hardware, or introduce CFW to the system to “emulate” the games it’s intending to play. You can also just straight up emulate GBA or DS games on a 3ds. It’s amazing.
Agreed. My only gripe is with Switch games themselves being emulated and therefore pirated - let’s be honest, the amount of people emulating their own dumped ROM files are probably very low - even if dumped ROMs are legal. Especially with cash cows like Pokemon games and Zelda titles… I mean Christ. Nintendo just has to breathe in the same vicinity as Pokemon and they print money

ya, its called basic management.
To be fair Nintendo have basically been trying to get to making the Switch since the Gamecube era. Every console they made was an attempt to get closer and closer to merging their handheld market and their console market so now that they have succeeded I suspect they will just keep upping the number from there.

Considering the video, it appears to be using upscaler due several artifacts. Not sure if also framegen. If does would be within my expectations for some games running at 120fps.

I don’t care how much it costs this is a Day-ONE buy for me!
I used to play OW2, but now, I have a Mac.
I’m getting a Switch 2, sincerely hopping that it’ll be updated to be able to play Smooth 1080p 60 fps or more.
With the mouse mode it can be a game changer.
