Nintendo Switch 2 announced - upgrades for OW2?!

Will we finally get Overwatch at 60 FPS on the Switch and 1080p?!

I hope they make a slightly smaller version of this Switch because it’s a bit too big for my liking!

I really struggled to enjoy Overwatch on the OG Nintendo Switch/Lite because of the poor performance!

It’s why I got the Steam Deck in the first place!

Hopefully this one is a big improvement!

Who’s getting it?!

This is the least Nintendo release ever…where’s the never before seen controller layout? Where’s the completely different console layout? The SAME NAME?!?! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I think it makes sense because people are familiar with the Nintendo Switch name so it’s better that they didn’t come up with a new name!

This is better marketing rather than “Wii U” etc everyone gets what this is - Nintendo Switch but more!

Time to sell my Asus ROG Ally?!

:stuck_out_tongue:

They don’t have time or resources to waste it on some random port no one plays.

I made a mistake buying my Switch. Got joycon drift not even after 5 months of use. Never again.

If Overwatch doesn’t do it then Marvel Rivals will capitalise on the lack of competition and I think it could actually run great on the new Switch with upgrades but they might have to rely on frame generation and DLSS upscaling!

Just like Mac support then

Maybe it will flop like the Nintendo WII U ?

I’m also very disappointed.

I was expecting a real console that isn’t portable…

We all know any console that is a mix will never have decent specs… Not even sure it will get a 4k mode.

Also, expect the 10-dollar fee to graphically upgrade your old games, just like Sony Playstation does… Money money…

I heard it’s going to output at 4K resolution when docked!

:astonished:

thats one expensive dock…

Hasn’t been confirmed yet but leaks have been true so far when it comes to the console design so maybe they’re right about 4k too but I wouldn’t expect too much, tbh…

It’s probably going to have PS4 Pro / Xbox One X specs at best…

If it has frame generation then the frame rate could actually be pretty good!

:face_holding_back_tears:

I still wouldn’t play Overwatch on Nintendo consoles but new Mario games and other Nintendo IPs sure will be beautiful.

Just saw this and couldn’t agree more…

Forget joycons not working…consoles are going to be broken

They should’ve used the best connector known to mankind: Lightning Port!

Honestly? Honestly I’m fine with that. I still use a base model PS4, and I used to use an Xbox One X until a few months ago. Call me a NintendHo (I am, even if I do criticize their crappy things otherwise) but I’m still hella hyped for this thing. Gonna make my last minute purchases (just some things I’ve been lusting after for a while - new AV cable, game on sale for PS4/PS3) and then start saving my paychecks for this thing.

No. Die in a fire. Lightning port makes me want to strangle whoever thought of it.

The latest USB-C is faster than lightning for both data and charging. It’s also a more compatible standard. It’s objectively better than lightning.

I bought my Switch in september 2017, played a TOTK recently and the joycons had a slight drift, but it disappeared after a played a little, probably just dirt…

Even as a Nintendo fanboy, I agree, I called it “Switch Pro at home”…

Please Nintendo, we don’t need another Sony who just slaps a hardware upgrade and a number on a console and call it new generation  :man_facepalming:.
