New null sector Breacher unit is way too similar to a tf2 sentry buster

Two legged death ball that stops in place and spins accompanied by a wind sound dealing lots of damage. The devs seem so proud of this enemy type too even though its just a blatant copy. At least the archive version was hovering.

I mean beta OW was heavily ‘inspired’ ripped off from TF2.

So, makes sense.

A beta being similar or plain old copy cats as other games isnt much of a surprise but a “Sequel” straight up copying an enemy is just sad.

Youtube chat was full of “SENTRY BUSTER!” when this was first showcased. It was kind-of great.

Shows that the Overwatch-TF2 community is still alive and well.

sea mine looking bomb on two long legs that behave in the same way and follow the same queues is different from a mario bomb

But we have similar enemy in Overwatch already. Those bomb things in Uprising. They are just that but with flashy animation and better model.

That being said I wouldnt be too surprised if they few months dow the line will show us proudly big bulky tank that slowly goes towards objective and have a lot of health and armor.

Did you played ever junkrat, or torb?
Old torb= worse enginier from tf2
New torb= similiar to mini sentry enginier from tf2
Junkrat= demoman with less bombs.

This game is heavly made off tf2 in many aspects. They litteraly made some heroes similiar to tf2 haracters and from that, started making their concepts. Thats why we have big russian with big weapon giving barriers, like heavy is big russian gun with big weapon who can dispense healinig.

Desing similiarities in look and other stuff will be easy to find.
They even borrow from star wars, pick hammond, and dont use his hook, then look what droideka from star wars do.

those have been covered and talked about to death already. Its just a shame that OW2 starts off as another overwatch where they get “inspired” by other games

Running bombs that, once in place, stands there spinning until it blows up? Yeah.

They took the idea of a sexy doctor straight from TF2!

And the TF2 Sentry Buster is just a WW2 sea mine on legs. Not particularily original either. I’m pretty sure some other games adopted a similar design even before TF2.

I’d even argue that Overwatch’s design looks more different from the real world inspiration that TF2’s. At least it has a protective cover that only opens up shortly before detonation and additional support legs.

I’m also assuming that the breacher will have a different role than just running towards Torb’s turret all day…

ah yes because a WW2 sea mine runs towards an objective starts spinning and blows up all while being out of water

Overwatch was inspired by TF2 in the first place. So it makes sense.
