CHANGES:
Primary fire: Changed from 60/120/180 to 80/120/175
This makes syms stage one beam feel more powerful while slightly toning down the stage three beam as compensation.
Secondary fire: now pierces through barriers, damage reduced from 140 to 100
This allows sym to more easily counter double barrier then she used to, while nerfing her damage but she can still two shot squishies.
New passive: fast regen (temp name) sym now regens her shield after 1.5 seconds, rather than 3. Emp now no longer takes away shields. (Last one likely to change)
No, no, no, no, no. You are buffing Symmetra. Buffing a broken hero doesn’t work, as we have recently seen with the newfound Moira+Mercy buffs. Nerf her, then come back.
Oh okay, thanks for the feedback, yeah I wanted to make a compensation nerf on primary fire so the people who hated her would stop complaining. That’s why I deliberately made it only 5 dps lower. However yeah, she doesn’t really need it
that’s not going to fly with current projectile speed (even though I do think it should be faster for an aimed ability) mainly because lack of counterability for tanks.
personally I’d rather just having like 30~35m/s orbs with like 120-ish damage per orb. but if we’re bringing shield pierce into it you’re going to have to make it more of a spam weapon with similar reload rate and firerate to junkrat’s primary and also being slower. (think like if you’re designing an enemy in like the old space invader game or nier automata)
that’s something I don’t enjoy tbh.
I don’t think the emp change should go through. the 1.5s to regen sounds nice, but whether that’s OP or not when having old 3.0 tp is a for me.

very arguably the loss of 5dps at tier 3 is a lot more detrimental than a temporary ~1.28s increased 20dps.
a 20dps increase on tier one primary going from 60dps to 80dps is more of a QoL tbh.
why primary is last in the priority is because with how it is right now (short ranged sustained charge up beam), it’ll never be a significantly large part of her gameplay. you can’t expect a squishy with low mobility to waltz up to be within 12m of the enemy and stay there for like ~2.6s-ish to charge up a weapon and then stay there for a further god knows long to actually use it. giving her a longer range on it (like >15m) or giving her enough sustain for her to individually stay there that long like a zarya will make her oppressive/OP/too easy to get charge. Hence why primary is pretty much a lost cause unless it’s completely redesigned.

this one is not really good, sombra is already a bit bad and making abitilies have those kind of particular interactions is not really good for the game… i don’t know; i don’t main symmetra so other people opinion may be more useful to you c:

Yeah okay thanks, most of the feedback I’ve received says the sombra one isn’t good. I just came up with it but to be honest I’m not too sure about it myself.
Yeah I mean it benefits her early fight but I understand why the 5dps nerf could cripple her. Thanks for the feedback!
I wouldn’t go a far as to say cripple, but like tier 3 losing 5dps is more of a nerf than +20dps on tier 1 is a buff kinda
but trying to put on +20 dps on lvl1 primary is a good direction for what little room you can buff it. the things will that really be significant in making her better or not will be changes around tp and orbs because those are what sym will be using most of the match time.
