Every time I hop on Overwatch and go to my options menu it bugs out and crashes. Sometime I will wait over 30 seconds and the options menu will pop up after that and I can change the settings, but it will restart my game after the game already puts me in and it makes me wait to play for a while for some reason. It can happen in any game mode except in the menus where it just bugs out and makes me wait over 30 seconds to get into the category.
I tried modifying and installing it, scan for repairs, trying to fix the game settings and uninstalling and reinstalling the game back multiple times, yet nothing works. I tried restarting all the settings to default in the options menu and been waiting a month to see if it will fix its self but nothing has worked still.
Please give me directions to fix this problem.

Even here, since I had to update windows to play bf2042, my pc feels weird, my blizz app is weird, my steam and origin weird, now my games started getting problems, starting with overwatch!

Nope ive been trying to find a solution for a while and nothing has still passed up for multiple weeks.

Same problem here. Even tried to repair the arquives, but didn’t work.
Having same issue as well ever since Windows update. Computer has been acting really weird with multiple apps just feeling sluggish and frame drops.
With OW it keeps crashing whenever I click options, says its lost connection to server. Can play games, select all the other menu buttons except for options. Really weird.
Hoping someone finds a workaround.

well, the same is happening to me, every time i try to go to the options menu my game just stops

Im having the same issue :c i tried updating drivers, re-installing the game, reset in game options, no solution yet. same issue happening in ow2 beta

Bumping this, same issue - win 10. It seems to be audio-device related? if I disable all audio devices the option menu runs normally (but then i can’t hear or speak in the game). As soon as I turn them on the bug returns. I have already tried reinstalling overwatch, scan and repair, reinstalling audio drivers but so far haven’t found a working solution.

Yes you are correct. i disable my audio menu runs normally. this bug needs to be address :c

I literally have had this problem for longer than a month now and tried 15+ methods to fix with the support team.
You are a genius, I did what you said and options instantly get back to normal.
I think this is so audio device-related which could just narrow down what exactly is going on in Overwatch.
I will report this new information to Tech team and hopefully they really could bring the problem resolved ASAP.
Same thing happening for me. Game crashes if I open the options menu. It also started with sound settings. I was messing with them because of another bug that’s causing my audio to stutter horribly.
I’m having the same issue, this is getting obcene that the issue has persisted from Overwatch 1 in april of 2022 and is still going on in Overwatch 2, here all the way in January of 2023. Why are we being punished for having above standard audio tech?
