Yesterday our team got a one trick Symm player with 8 Hours on Symm and less than 10 minutes on a couple of other heroes. Symm is good on some maps and good in some situations. This player decides to play Symm and only Symm in all maps and in all situations regardless of the team comp or enemy team comp.
The enemy team had a Pharrah and Mercy. Despite the Symm doing nothing we managed to captured both points. The enemy team captured both points as well when they attacked but they did so in record time. We were tied. We ended up losing a close fight.
If Symm had been a healer or anything else other than Symm in that situation we could have won that match easily. We canât report them for playing their favorite hero but what they did is what a lot of players are calling âtrolling or throwingâ.
The team asked the Symm player about half way through if they could please heal or tank. If they do then one of us will switch as well thus letting the Symm player decide which hero other than Symm they want to play. We were willing to work with him but he was not willing to be a team player and work with us.
Unfortunately this is just one example of what we see in Comp matches. Players unwilling to be a team player by not being willing to switch heroes if needed.
