I don’t mean to come off as ignorant but after I just got my tank to diamond and was aiming for my dps to get to diamond as well, during the game after finishing the defence round with no problems we went pharmercy and got two early picks which is then when my whole internet shut down and restarting it didnt work. I was wondering if there are ways to prevent myself from being punished so severely from things like this which are out of my control.

DDoSing individual users really doesn’t happen. It is more of kept to be an issue between you and the game server. Please take time to troubleshoot and avoid Competitive until you are confident the issue is no longer happening.
