So, funny thought that came back to me. It’s been a little over 2 years since coming back to Overwatch. I remember there was a bug in 2017 that allowed 24 player lobbies… Well it was 12 players + 12 bots. Was quite fun and chaotic. There been any word on an increased player count?

I’m curious if that ever extended to testing 2/3/2?

exceeding 12 players per match would cause significant technical challenges (we’re highly optimized towards 12 right now). experimenting with less than 12 is more realistic. it’s not that we cannot do it… it’s that the cost would be extremely high.

It’s not going to happen… before OW2 comes out at least. Then they might consider it.
