Scatter arrow was bad vs most of the roster but was a near 100% one shot vs Orisa, slightly lower vs Zarya and with any follow up meant other tanks would likely be deleted.
They flipped it with Storm arrow, which is good vs everyone with or without luck.
I am pretty sure that when hanzo get nerfed, this hateful mob will altogether jump on torb or cree, just because you guys need to release your hate on someone, not willing to admit that issue is in you. And you will also keep loosing to nerfed hanzos, even if they are 100 hp non headshot 30% move speed turrets.
Mechanically speaking, Scatter Arrow was more interesting and fit the flow of Hanzo’s gameplay better than Storm Arrow. The only problem it ever had was that it did too much damage when used to shoot the floor in front of an enemy. All they had to do was give him his leap and nerf the damage of scatter projectiles to 50 (from 75), and Hanzo would have been in a great spot.
The perception of Hanzo’s arrows being massive is because they can one-shot. Even though Mercy and D.Va can technically hit head-shots easier, all such a hit does is reduce the victim’s health by a larger amount, but not insta-kill.
Otherwise you’d have the same outrage on these forums for those, too.
For a sniper to be perceived as fair, his hit resolution really needs to be precise.
Has anyone ever measured the size of the hitboxes.
I know that Hanzo’s (and Genji’s) projectiles has the smallest hitboxes, but how small is it compared with other projectiles and how big is it compared with hitscan?
I’m also curious to the shape of the hitbox. Is it a box on the tip of his arrow or is the entire arrow covered?
