Scatter was so easy to balance and instead they threw it out… They could’ve put detonation on a timer, forced it to blow midair after X meters to stop cross-map scatter kills, nerfed the damage to not one shot 400HP tanks||made it headshot and reduce body shot damage to promote behind cover use and reduce shoot foot syndrome.
Nope! Hanzo got better FTH AND better Combat roll as lunge in the air. (Goes farther and less CD + Hanzo doesn’t need to reload, remember?) Then buffed his arrow speed to turn him into worse than hitscan, but “close enough” to hitscan and making it harder to use his arrows to hit behind cover by arching them for the players that actually used that to their advantage forcing them to go Torb instead if they wanna have that bit of strategy back.
Hanzo nowadays is literally (strong) projectile McCree with smaller Widow Ult instead of flashbang and better mobility.
Balancing team in this game take ages to do anything and say “tried it behind the scenes” to justify ignoring players and never use the PTR properly for anything other than bug testing.
The most frustrating part is the arts and animation teams for this game are clearly extremely talented and deserve better than this job where the overall quality of the product is heavily lopsided.

Hanzo isn’t even like top 5 for heroes that need to go.
Remembers back when I played Orisa/Zarya and got one shot from across map. Or every time I got close to a Hanzo and they’d immediately stare at the ground and shoot at the ground next to me.

I dont see how thats evidence of a 450 damage attack being able to deal 600 damage to armored targets, but I must not be using the same type of math as you.

Outside of a Primal Rage Winston, being effected by sound barrier or a tank stacked armor or shields from rally, armor pack or shield generator.
You’d be taken out by him simply shooting your feet.

What about this is confusing you? That Orisa only has 400HP or that 450 < 600?
You can search as many montages as you want. you’ll never see a non-damage boosted scatter one-shot rein, hog, dva, Winston, or Hammond, because thats not how numbers work
