🔘 Mercy Needs an R Ability Instead of an HPS Buff

This is cool and an r ability would help make her identity even more unique.

I personally still like your idea of making valk and rez a combo ultimate. Where Activating valk enables Mercy’s Rez ability (valk icon turns into rez icon when activated and you press q to use it). It would only have 1 charge of course, but it would make valk so much more badass with your aesthetic changes also. The mighty power of her full powered suit with it’s radiant pulsating light can bring someone back from the dead!

I will CRY if they leave that in the game AFTER they “bugfixed” damage boost to not boost dragonstrike and d.va nuke.

They sneak stuff into the game alot and then when it’s found out they call it a “bug”
Wish they’d just buff the ult charge you get from damage boost, that way it atleast feels rewarding. Not making it buff turrets.

Turn Super Jump into an ability. Call it Angelic Ascent.

That way non-Mercy players can’t complain about it being a bug exploit, and you make it so doesn’t rely on teammates and Mercy players now have some extra mobility and survivability.

Yeah but right now it has GAs cd, god knows what 10 second cd they’d put on it if it was made into an ability.

I think 5 sec is fair. Just like Hanzo’s Lunge.

A temp heal buff would be really lame, every other healer bar zen has it, it just makes her more like the others, instead of being her own thing.

Literally same, the nerf to no longer damage boost D.va bomb made me more upset than the rez cast time nerfs rofl.

I like the idea of a reload ability that’s a “staff powerup” with a cleanse attached:

When Mercy uses it, her beam target gets cleansed of cc. Mercy’s healing and damage boost then become noticeably stronger for the next, say, two seconds.

It would be a way to give Mercy a cleanse ability without making it too situational, and give her the extra heals she needs at the same time. Two birds, one stone.

Except rn her “own thing” is being consistent and…bad? I’d rather have a new mechanic that allows for more skill expression and impact than just being consistent but not valuable.

they kept hinting echo will be a support, still they didnt do it either

That’s because they changed their minds at the last second.

When they came up with echo’s duplication ult they were like, “I know we were gonna make her a support, but this ult is really cool and we have our hearts set on it for being Echo’s ult. But it doesn’t fit a support hero…”

I’ve always wanted something like if she presses R than her beam targets gets 75 temporary shields that dissipates over 2 seconds kind of like Lucio’s ultimate.

I like that people are still coming up with cool ideas.

Unfortunately I feel I have seen far too many great Mercy ideas lost to the void.

She really is the most neglected of the supports.

It’s not a passive. Baptiste has no passive. It’s a LCtrl (crouch) ability.

Edit: nvm I guess the game classifies it as both… But then why would it be a passive if it’s an active ability. W/e

i know imagine having a fun ult in support class … would have made the q a bit better

I would really like for her to get her rez replaced with a cleanse ability that can remove hacks, cc, anti-nade, etc. I think it would give her a place, add a higher skill ceiling and make her feel more impactful. It would also make tanks’ lives so much better

I fully agree with another ability. If Mercy as a character is supposed to be focused on game sense and decision making it makes sense for her to have a kit focused on making many and the right decisions.

She desperately needs more to do.

To be fully honest - she needs changes. Not as bad as other characters… Bastion… but something for her would be nice.

But I’m against another ability. Mercy was designed to be the easierst hero, then one that should get new players into the support role - they would not need to focuse on her hard hero designe but can instead focus more on their surroundings.

Adding more and more would… idk how to say it- “destroy” this easy character - in my oppinion it would kind of “overload” her.

At the start she had ult, shift, left and rightclick. Done.
Now she already has rez and, if you wanna count it, superjump and bunnyhop - two “unofficial abilities” that express a Mercy players skill - also the usage of GA and the ability to almost being immortal.

I don’t really know what to change - maybe try 55HP like some people suggested - after all we have now the A. Card - we need to use it more often.
