A real rework. I accepted it, there will be no revert for Mercy.
But can we please have another rework for her?
I’m done getting called “boosted” or “no skill” player just for playing Mercy. Can we have a rework for her to introduce a bit mechanical skill? And fun???

I know she’s boring which is unfortunate but she is still very viable. So please let blizzard focus on helping other hero’s in a much worse spot and give the poor Dr a break for a bit, she’s been through a lot lol
The problem is many people play Mercy because she lacks the “standard” mechanical skill.
It is incorrect to say she is a no skill hero. She just has a very low skill floor.
A high level Mercy must have a lot of spatial awareness to avoid getting shot - as she is extremely crucial to keeping the rest of the team alive. Which means knowing how to bounce around with Guardian Angel and boost and heal as necessary.
Must know when to use her abilities and when to save it.
Though I am a person who always argued for a more Interactive Mercy than a baby sitting healer. Where here healing is no longer based on staff but GA instead. And her Primary becomes a Railcannon type weapon that does high damage but slow RoF.
GA healing is based on distance flown to target. So you try and constantly use GA at the longest distances possible for maximum healing.
Viable yes, fun no.
She needs a rework or a revert but must no be left in such plain state. And no “she’s been through a lot” is not a valid excuse to not restore her.
For the millionth time, they already stated that they would not be revisiting Mercy. Any Mercy feedback should go in the megathread.

If that’s the case, the writing is on the wall. They are not going to revert Mercy no matter how many threads are spammed on the forums.
Mercy is in a tricky spot. She is a very low risk hero with a pretty great reward, even if she isn’t as fun. What we need is something that makes her more engaging without makin her op.
Then everyone will be happy😁

They said they wouldn’t revert. Not that that they wouldn’t revisit. There are hundreds of ways that they could go back and make a better Mercy without simply reverting.

Mercy does have mechanical skill, it’s called Guardian Angel and her momentum trick. That is, by definition, a very important mechanical skill, and is one of the main factors of her skill ceiling.
They said Mercy is in a good spot right now. There’s always a possibility that they could adjust her later, but based on the time it’s taken for other changes, it’s going to be awhile.
What Jeff said: “not in a terrible spot”.
What Jeff did not say: “good spot.”
In devspeak, that is a significant distinction. This is the second time in as many posts that you’ve put words into Jeff’s mouth.
She’s fine. Not every hero in this game is riveting to play

If I was putting words in his mouth, I would be quoting something he didn’t say with quotations. It is implied that something “not terrible” is good/ok. We can run around in circles all you want and try and find some hidden, cryptic meaning in “devspeak” that she will be changed soon, but it is not going to happen. Besides, other character changes are much more important to the games balance than spending even more time “fixing” a now balanced healer. Mercy mains just need to deal with it, and let other characters have their chance to be balanced. Not everyone mains Mercy.
They are also not adding deathmatch to the game … oh wait …
Game mode that a minority of players will play, compared to balancing a healer that is one of the most popular characters in the game that was broken for the past 4-6 months. Comparing apples to oranges I see.
It’s not going to happen. She is actually in a better spot than she’s ever been, she is actually viable in every rank, and just because you don’t find her fun doesn’t mean others don’t, I personally find her way more fun! If she is not enjoyable for you to play, then don’t play her, there are a lot of different characters in this game, pick one you do enjoy. If you really just enjoy Mercy because she’s Mercy than that should be enough, play her because you like her, otherwise get over your infatuation with a video game character, because that’s all they are.

All this time mercy players have warned blizz and urged for changes so she would NOT be OP.
Now she is a trashcan.
If you want to be angry be mad at blizz for failing to balance a hero and listen to feedback and THEN fail to come up with a solution for MONTHS.
Dont blame the people who tried to warn them help them and are now stuck with a worthless ult and a suicide button who voice their opinions.
You speak very biased because you obviously dislike mercy mains. From the above situation ill tell you that your hate is targeted at the wrong group since we were very outspoken about her OP ptr state and none of us want an OP hero or one that has no impact. Calling mercy balanced when her success relies 100% on her teams playmaking because she has none, is a pathetic argument.

She’s boring if you play her the old way.
I’ve been playing her and having more fun than what I have as moira for example.
I’m also ranking up a lot w this mercy and getting praised by my teammates in almost every game.
She’s just not anymore a must pick, she’s a normal hero like any other hero (except tracer, she’s a must pick. or symmetra, a must not pick)
Rez is still powerful if you use it correctly.
