Mercy "Middle-Ground" By ZodiHD

Unranked coach with trash suggestions, keep coaching buddy.

Before her rework, no.
After her rework, unfortunately yes.

I’m flagging your post and reporting you, toxic, unhelpful people like you should think before you act, I made this thread to help improve things, people like you exist to do the opposite it seems.

True, but the part of him that is fun and effective to use is up the whole time. His purpose is his primary fire. His ult is mostly used as a reload for it, that’s how important it is to his kit. Giving mercy any form of res makes her purpose res. That is her being effective every 2 mins (or 30 seconds) and being bored out of her skull the rest of the time. I would argue her purpose should be more based on her primary and alt staff fire. (and her pistol needs to be smaller projectiles that shoot faster)

If your aim is to promote positive discussion, I would kindly ask that you revise this sentence…

to be without the use of referring to mercy mains that want a revert as a “cult”. The term is derogatory in nature and adds unnecessary malicious intent to your post. No need to include slurs in your suggestions.

No one wants to be referred to as being “from a cult”.

The second part was a joke, it had no real derogatory meaning in nature and such intent was nonexistent, as seen in the quotes around “cult”

I was simply poking for fun of the whole Cult meme, if I have to write joke next to something so obvious, well I shouldn’t have to.

First of all I don’t care about your flag.
Second, you have 7 hours of QP mercy, we’re halfway into the season and you don’t even have a rank and the little time you have on comp, there’s no mercy time involved. I don’t think you’re qualified to help with the situation of the hero.

Considering how controversial the term is in this community right now, I’m not too sure if your “joke” would be all that funny. But hey, you do you! I just figured I point it out in case anyone finds offense to it and doesn’t get your sense of humor.

As for the topic itself, I like the direction of a Mass res kit. I personally don’t think you would need Valk as an ultimate with mass res, but more so as the E move itself (allowing her an escape). In that case, perhaps it can be combined with the Amplify ability in some way - the flight from valk and the healing effect from amp. That way you would get the best of both worlds.

Just my 2 cents there

There is no “qualification” for feedback, just because I don’t play much mercy doesn’t mean I can’t share what my experiences and what I think would help the hero.
Aria Rose also told me in her discord after a small misunderstanding that she likes my take on how mercy could be changed and thinks my changes could do some great things for mercy.
While I’m not one of her devoted followers, some people take her words to heart.
Also why does rank matter? I really don’t like playing comp, does that mean I can’t make a post on a hero? Absolutely not.

Besides, if someone see’s a thread from a mercy main talking about her they write it up as spam and report it, my thread is about the changes I’d make as an outsider.

Edit: That’s fine @RevertMercy, I made the same joke in Aria’s discord and she herself laughed at it, if someone can’t tell its a joke then they should try re-evaluating the punctuation.

There is. Time put on a hero means that you’ve probably run into different situations and have experienced them from the PoV of said hero.
Aria Rose is a casual, she has said that herself multiple times and so are most mercy players around this place. Don’t take casuals’ opinions seriously.
Rank doesn’t matter much when you’re just another guy playing ladder in order to avoid the cesspool of QP but if you come here saying you’re a coach etc, then it matters. Being a coach means you give advice to people and you’re familiar with the competitive scene.

My grievances with Mercy right now is that she doesn’t have enough room for skill expression, and not having enough different things to do makes Mercy feel like a healbot.

I appreciate the effort that was put into the op. But a beam empowerment ability (instead of an ablity that does something new and unique) doesn’t sound appealing. I’m also convinced that reviving people at less than full health would either:

1: lead to snowballing, with Mercy or her co-healer using the missing heath to farm ult. At worst, the health being based on a percentage would give rise to another tank meta.

2: The revived allies would quickly die again, especially the squishies. Many dps heros can one-shot an enemy if they’re on low health.

I coach for a small Developmental scene called watchpoint alpha, I am the assistant coach/analysist for the team, basically I do vod reviews of our scrims and matches, point out where things wen wrong from comms to positioning and send it to the team. The team sr range is plat-low masters.
