Mercy is balanced

You decided to call someone out as “wrong”, but when I ask you how you came to that conclusion, you end up giving me opinions. And when I ask for facts, you become defensive, saying that “It’s just a rational use of your time” to not source your claims to prove your statement as fact. So I struggle to understand what the point was in making a claim as if it’s fact, if you’re not willing to provide conclusive evidence to prove it as such. So excuse me for not being satisfied with “a few opinions” as being suitable evidence.

Even then, what you have shown me was a link to a twitch stream of three people from OWL. Your claim was “Pretty much everyone”. Now call me crazy, because I never was good at math, but I think it’s fair to say that your claim of “pretty much everyone says that instant res made Mercy a must pick” isn’t exactly equivalent to three men. I’m pretty sure, just three dudes with mics, doesn’t automatically encapsulates the opinions of the entire community of overwatch. Meh, could just be me.

“Pretty much everyone” would include the majority of Mercy mains, and myself included, who have varying degrees of what they see as what made her a must pick. She didn’t even have 2 instant resses to begin with, so that statement is already incorrect in context.

You also make the statement about “Nobody is complaining about her”, yet this thread exists:

Once again, you make a false opinionated statement.

Since we’re giving opinions now, here’s mine. Mercy’s res was not what made her a must pick, the rework is what made her a must pick. She had pretty average pick rates in tandem with her win rates when she was in 1.0. The moment Blizzard gave her invincibility was when her pick rates skyrocketed and her win rates made her OP. The rework was a mistake and should have never happened, and unless she gets a revert, she will never achieve True, Fair, and Fun balance. The rework has largely been a failure.

~Sincerely Yours xoxo,
a Lover of True, Fair, and Fun Balance.
