In my opinion what made a good mercy before was when you chose to use the resurrect ultimate whereas now there is very little decision making to take place.
Mercy 1.0 has to decide what to do using the following factors:
- Do you need to use res
- Can you get in a better position to res more people
- Can you stay alive long enough to use it
- Constant monitoring of enemy ultimates so you knew if a grav or dragonblade was coming and when to play out of los
- is someone else was about to die
- is the fight was even still winnable or if you are going to res 4v6
The current mercy has to consider these factors when alive:
- Do i want to valk?
- Am i around a corner to res (or a lot of the time you can just res infront of enemies)
The difference in mercy play now between a plat player and a gm player is very little whereas before there was a significant difference.
I thought these rework was going to improve how fun she is to play but also to increase the skillcap/floor, neither of which have been achieved.
