match range: gold 5 - plat 1. in the match there were players ranging from gold 5 to plat 1. while the lowest rank of any given player (in the match) was of the gold rank, from gold 5 to gold 1, there were also players with a rank of plat 1 (including, of course, the lower reaches of plat like 2, 3, 4 and even 5).
given this match range, you might notice something odd: gold 5 players were playing with plat 1 players. and consequently, plat 1 players were playing with gold 5 players. without getting into philosophical territory (such as “why were gold 5 players in a match with plat 1 players?” or “can we safely assume, given the match range, that plat 1 players were playing with gold 5 players in ranked?” or even “why even play ranked at that poin?”), let’s just conclude that the match range was indeed from gold 5 to plat 1.

You can’t be serious…Plat 1 players mop the floor with Gold 5 players, which are straight out of the bowels of Silver. Above average players vs below average players. This “essentially the same since it’s metal ranks” is elitist bs from players who are a tiny sliver of the overall playerbase.
No? Again gold and plat are almost the same, heck even in OW 1 you saw people grouped from silver to plat, now thats a bit more unfair, or if youre gonna complain about the broken ranked system why not bring more examples like the time i had silvers in a diamond-masters lobby

Kinda funny that you have that mentality but also disappointing. You are nowhere near the top of the skill curve but think so highly of yourself as to lump low Gold and high Plat as “the same”. They’re not the same, literally the majority of players fit in those two ranks so the individual skill varies greatly in that range.
The logic of Huevoasesino: “I’m top 10 percent therefore the bottom 90 percent are the same skill level”. Also his/her logic: “low gold and high plat is the same but silver and high plat are different”. They’re either trolling or just that dense, no offence. They’re literally mocking the vast majority of the playerbase with a straight face.
suspiciously enough, it’s so utterly obvious to him that i’m wrong and he’s right. so obvious, actually, that when asked to elaborate, he goes radio silent. that’s very convenient, i wish i could do that at work too.
I mean Dunning Kruger is a known syndrome and it affects a lot of people, him/her included. It’s how we have so many decision makers in various walks of life that project that they’re confident in their bs only for everyone to see disaster after disaster in their wake.
every game I have is silver 1 - plat 1 no joke, it deranked me deep into silver. from gold 1, my team is running and just dying. matchmaking is terrible… I don’t understand why it matches silver 1 - platinum 1
