Bruh im literally playing a game of helldivers, im not wasting my time on people who somehow are trying to rank shame a higher rank player lmao, sorry y’all got triggered but it is true gold and plat is the average and hence shouldnt be much different from each other, sorry you guys cant read and somehow think i say they are literally the same :man_shrugging:

It’s such a take from someone that started on console and climbed through every rank, then switched to PC and did it again.

Every GM was at some point Gold and Plat. The same goes for Diamonds. That’s why everyone with a good amount of skill knows that the difference between Gold and Plat is negligible.

It is likely the reason they still play the game. It’s brings them vague fulfillment from having a slightly higher rank in a party game. The mental gymnastics they go through to maintain their perceived superiority is beyond me.

Is it perceived superiority? If you’re ranked higher you’re just objectively better at the game. This isn’t just a high ranked thing either lmao

For example, a Gold is superior to a Silver, even if barely.

i’m plat 1 one tricking zarya with 65% winrate and still climbing. if i were to play dps and not just onetrick i can easily get to mid diamond where you are right now. go ahead and backtrack “yeah, well, diamond isn’t even that high, anyway, bro”. right. but it’s pretty far from silver, agreed?

this is why i say you’re out of touch. gold matches are pure chaos and it’s a whole different game. me losing one match where the matchmaker crapped itself wasn’t enough to send me back to gold, apparently.

no, but keep sticking to your point that this matchmaking is okay. when you get a bunch of mid plats in your match, maybe you’ll wake up.

I’ve been around these ranks for years. What I can tell ya is yea plats are a lot better than golds on average. But that said, winning a game in gold and winning a game in plat are pretty much the same difficulty.

There is a big difference between gold 5 and plat 1, but they’re all still easy to defeat for someone who is masters, so it doesn’t feel like there is much of a difference. However, the difference between diamond and masters or masters and diamond is much larger.

I agree it is like saying bronze and silver are the same. To a plat it might feel that way. But to a silver or gold they will argue there is a big difference. So that is why you see these elitist saying all metal ranks are the same, but at the same time they cry if they get a master 3 in their GM 3 game.
