Mass Rez Makes a Comeback in Junkenstein's Revenge!

By your logic (which is flawed beyond belief) Old Roadhog is back. Along with many other things about riptire and symetra.

As in the player having Mass Res? Personally, I don’t really care either way.

Like, even though Uprising was well done it’s first year, last year they completely rebalanced to take into account the fact that Mercy no longer had Mass Res, and I’d say they did a decent job (though, to be fair I didn’t play much of Archives last year in general).

As far as playing against it goes, however, having all the bosses spawn at once in front of you just sets up for a much more dramatic and epic final fight than just watching Mercy scramble around on her own.

no because the enemies respawning isn’t ‘mass rez’ its just enemies respawning in the gamemode as all wave-based gamemodes go as the witch’s ability to bring back from the dead/junkensteins mass creations. Valk would make it harder because shes flying around instead of strafing poorly and actively damage boosting or healing multiple targets at once. that would be MUCH harder to deal with in junkenstein’s revenge. If they did give her any rez in the mode and if it were midfight, thatd be welcome as either a chance to get damage in on her OR get screwed over that she respawned the monster on top of regular game-mode respawns.

trying to consider that the bosses spawning in is supposed to be mass rez is wrong lol. I’m sorry but mercy is never getting mass rez back in the main mode and its better off that way because it is a weak ability.

Actually Sym gets revived as well on certain difficulties.

It’s in there, because the whole event is scripted.
Without it, the event would lose its flow.

This has absolutely no relavance to Mercy’s current state. It is for the event, and only for the event.

Valkyrie self heal with witch mercy high health pool will be hard to overcome if you don’t continually shooting her especially when only hitscan heroes can shoot her, anyway I will say mass rez fit better in this mode because the last round require bosses to respawn

Because having the sheild generator would be really weird. And having a flying Mercy would be very op in this.

Imagin you hand Tracer, Genji, Brigitta and Zen. Good luck beating the final boss.

The Shield Generator was Symm’s thing last year. On Endless mode, you could find two or three of them stacking up. I’m surprised they changed it, since they actually nerfed her survivability, damage (removing autolock), and usefulness to the bosses themselves.

And I’m not saying Witch Mercy shouldn’t have her mass rez. I’m saying it’s part of the story that she does, so it would actually make less sense to change her.

Damn and I thought the last post was desperate.

Why do you want Witch Mercy flying around during the PvE?

I’m sure the team is creative enough to have Valkyrie fit into the new game mode. I’m not sure if I would agree with it being included because “it’s more thematic”. What would fit and not fit in a game seems to be a subjective right? For example, for Witch Mercy, they could have her flying around on her broom as Valkyrie. That would fit the theme a lot more than her bringing back her allies, in my opinion. ::slight_smile:

Thanks for sharing your opinion! That still hasn’t answered my question as to why Reworked heroes are used this time around and not “the same old ones” for every AI.

Hmmm sorry not sure I agree with you two, I think they are creative enough to make Valkyrie work in the game mode. After all, they made it “work” in PvP right? In any case, we’ll have to agree to disagree there, since of course, what we think “fits” in the game mode and what doesn’t is up for debate. It would be nice though if a dev can confirm that as the reason. :blush:

I respect your viewpoint. However, I think the intention was that it was a Mass Res. You hear the resurrection sound effect, and it only happens when Mercy is introduced. I’m sure they had to tweak it to “fit the game mode” though, similar to how the bosses have huge health pools. A Mass Res + Tweaks perhaps? But hey, you make a good point! I understand how one can see it as not being a mass res, we’ll just have to agree to disagree on that. :slight_smile:

Even in Legendary Reaper and Sym do not spawn.

Junk Endless mode is not part of Revenge. As Endless is just random hero Spawns. As you can get 3 - 4 Reapers at the exact same time in Endless.

Honestly, I’m just happy that they didn’t bring in Valkyrie. Like, oh look! She has wings that make her fly but also has a broom that makes her fly. Likeeee.

Well the Hero spawns are far from Random in Endless mode… 3 Reapers is just one of the Patterns that spawns.

Right. Then its not Mass Rez Is it? Once it starts cloning Heroes. I don’t think Mercy ever had the ability to “Clone” Heroes in the base game. I could be wrong - I only have been playing the game since the Beta.

Oh… Could you imagine?

“Heroes never die!” - Sits proxy in the middle of the map high off the ground, occasionally coming down to rez a single ally in slow motion.

I mean, it would in the very least be true to form right? :wink:

No she had not but the classic Witch formation that spawns is Witch + Junkenstein + Monster (which is technically a mass rez because 2 persons resurrect)

In Endless this formation can spawn twice and sometimes with the Summoner.
