Because hype is reflected by media presence and public interest which from my observation is very little but I guess I need to state the obvious

Again, you don’t know how many are waiting to test it. I’m willing to bet you didn’t even read the comments on the reveal video to see the positive comments? You’re just assuming because you don’t care for it yourself.
I mean most reveal videos of new games have positive comments because people who watch reveals tend to be fans of either the property or the company. That is not indicative of hype.
If we are being honest Marvel Rivals will have a nice ad blitz around launch time that will cause it to be talked about for a month or two before quickly fading into obscurity like just about every PvP game that has tried to come out in the past couple years (how is Finals coming along for those who called it the next big thing).

lol, watched that video and also watched some of the trailer videos…
…so…is anyone else going to say it? i know everyone is thinking it…
The video above has elements in it that are pretty much just like OW.
If you watch the videos of the trailers for the game…the entire setup is pretty much a mirror of OW.
just sayin…not saying it’s not going to be fun or a good game, heck, they might do it better…but, it IS pretty much a rip off of OW…

sure, and again, they might actually do it better than OW…but if you look at the gameplay, heck, even the characters themselves are all pretty much mirrors of OW. Watch some of the trailer videos…it’s uncanny how much some of the characters are just like OW characters.
i mean, lets go through the trailer.
from the start…you have
the first character manipulating light (symettra)
then a staff weapon (mercy)
a sword (meh…rein?)
then a claw (ok, cant think of this one)
then rockets weapon looks almost just like winstons tesla cannon
then you have the shot of 4 or 5 charcters lined up in a row…so lets see:
1 - Phara
2 - Mercy
3 - Hanzo
4 - tracer
the last 2 are groot and someone else…cant think of an analog for them.
Dr strange opening a portal (symmetra)
Hulk does a charge and a jump (Mauga)
Ironman flies and does a beam attack (echo)
spiderman comes in and webs everyone (mei)
then a girl comes in on skates and does attacks and heals (lucio/kiriko)
then you see a guy come in twirling and throwing a spear (orisa)
then loki comes in and transforms himself into black panther (echo ult)
then a woman with a big sword comes in and dashes around slicing things (genji)
in the video above, you have the lines on the ground leading to the objective areas, that are glowing yellow…just like in OW…and you have the floating cars, and you have the spawn barrier doors that are yellow force fields…with the + sign on them…just like in OW…
i mean, it looks great…and i am in no way hating on it, because it looks like it could be very fun…im just pointing out the similarities to OW is all

Guys, games take things from other games and build on it to make their new game. I … I dont know how to tell you this … but movies and tv shows do it too!
