I did suggest Valorant. Siege is a fair comparison though I’d completely forgot that game still is around. I will have to disagree with Apex though, I think extraction shooters are similarly too far as would a moba first game like Smite would be.

No she isn’t. I’ve been playing her on MR. Mines aren’t turrets. She shoots her mech guns like D’Va, and the icons are the same. MR is not smooth like OW. I find it slow and clunky. I only play it because a few friends of mine are playing it. I won’t be playing it solo one bit.

They move automatically, you know that right. They are effectively auto-aimed land mines and you can stack them and blow some idiot diver with just enough.

If you stop trying to compare the 2 games. Just treat them for what they are… you will have more fun in 1, the other or both. as you will be spending less time being a bit of a wang about video games.
It doesn’t matter. All versions of OW1 scratched the OW itch, some were better some were worse but they were all good (except the one season Genji got giga buffed).
OW2 hasn’t gotten even remotely close to the feeling OW1 gave and is just a shadow of it’s former self.
Rivals awakened some weird part of my brain that has me thinking “I feel like I’m just burnt out on hero shooters”. When I play Rivals, I only play 3 or 4 matches before I am just flat out bored.
Then I think “maybe I’d rather play OW…?” but then I never do.
Since the first week of Rivals, I’ve been playing less of both games and I wasn’t expecting that.

Playing more retro titles and titles in my backlog, but now that you’ve me thinking about it, yeah I am playing less over all. Mainly because I’ve been making videos for friends which is time consuming but I love it so I get lost in it and time flies.

I used to make my own music videos back in the day. I would try to upload to YT, but they would be banned due to me using copyrighted material. Lesson learned 
Oh that’s awesome! That’s sort of what I do… I like to make game montages modeled around traditional music videos. So there’s not stuff jumping out at you every 0.5 seconds and more so just a nice listening experience while watching people play a game you like 
And wait, you can get banned for using copyrighted material? I thought they’d just demonetize the video?

marvel rivals completely destroyed overwatch, of what was left of overwatch after blizzard destroyed it. 4 new characters, 3 new maps, new mode, jeez the honeymoon phase is amazing, ow2 honeymoon phase was trash

I think the game (Marval Rivals) is a bit overhyped, almost to the extent of hating Overwatch just for the sake of hating it. Overwatch is a 9 year old game, it’s actually doing pretty decent with player retention considering how old the game is.
One streamer said it best: if both games were released today, new players will almost always choose Overwatch 2 over Marvel Rivals 9 out of 10. I tend to agree with that streamer’s opinion.
Also, Overwatch is a FPS game in first-person. I haven’t seen too many of Marval Rivals, but the only character that shoots in first person is Black Widow. That doesn’t cut it for me and my FPS “scrach” at least for me. Overwatch feels more similar to old school arena shooter, which is one of its biggest quirks that people like about.
This 100%. I even see Marvel Rivals mentioned in match chat of Overwatch a lot saying things like “Marvel Rivals >>>”. Like okay, then why aren’t you playing it?
Every Overwatch related domain I enter, whether it’s the forums, reddit, the game itself, Instagram, Youtube etc… People just have to mention that Marvel Rivals is better. It’s clearly a hate bandwagon that’s going on.
Just played some MR. It just doesnt have the strategy that OW2. Like when I play, I feel like Im pretty much playing solo with a support behind me. I dont get that same Team-Based aspect that OW2. Like when a Reinhardt says “Group up!”, he really means it! In MR, its sorta just like whatever/optional. And with the cool-downs being so quick with MR, theres just not a lot strategy with using abilities since they are almost always available. With OW2, you have to time your abilities more carefully, and I find that much more enjoyable and mentally engaging.
