Effectively removing Halt from Orisa takes the character most often described as “boring” (though I disagree) and stripping the most fun thing about the character away. I don’t care how much you love the top 1% of players, this is just bad design. Orisa needs more to do than what you have left her to keep her interesting.
I am hearing that she’s more fun due to the faster pulls and it feels better to use

I didn’t know the entire fun of Orisa was getting free-cheap kills above Shields and across entire lanes.
Halt’s radius shouldve never been so big in the first place 
I actually think most people that found her unfun will like the new halt more because it’s harder to use and thus more rewarding for good aiming. You can also do more stuff with it at longer range. I think the potential has gone up.
It literally is incapable of rewarding you more at all.
What? No it hasn’t. The ability is literally weaker. It wasn’t made more difficult to use for a higher reward. It was made more difficult to use for a lower reward. You are literally incapable of doing the same thing you can do on live game right now with the experimental changes no matter how much effort you put in.
The change makes it easier to focus fire people, but harder to pull them out of position.
It’s better for Orisa, but worse for her team
Focus fire them to what end? Move them a meter or so? The horror, how will they ever survive!
The halt flies faster, so it’s easier to snag an overconfident foe before they retreat

We have thought about, and moving a character 2m is easily the worst CC in the game. If i wanted to move someone 2m, I’d be better off spamming Pharah rockets at them.
It’s not about moving them, it’s about holding them in place
For .6 seconds, and not even disabling any abilities, attacks, or ultimates.
It’s the weakest CC in the game by far.
Idk peeps will probably disagree but i find Sombra the most boring personally, she gets in and out safe and sound with almost 0 worry, the only way she can win a fight is by stopping you from playing the game, its boring to fight, its boring to play and on top of all that, unlike Orisa, shes not even good.

I’ve played the changes… I see your point, and there have been many times where someone got away and where a faster projectile would have helped.
But to imagine it as a net gain is just silly. In exchange for this ability, you sacrifice pulling people into ults, environmental kills, away from you and out of high ground. It’s a gigantic nerf, with an over 80% decrease in area affected.
It’s definitely a nerf, but to say it makes the ability useless is just the typical overreaction attitude that bugs me
It’s a HUGE nerf, plus the increased speed completely messes with any muscle memory anyone has on getting in the right place at the right time. I’ve barely been able to get any benefit from it in experimental, a couple pulls. Combined with everything else they’ve taken away from Orisa in the past year and it’s frustrating, dispiriting and makes me hate OWL with a burning passion. As if 2020 wasn’t bad enough already.
I’ll never accept messing with “muscle memory” as a legitimate negative. People can relearn things, they just don’t want to put in the effort.
Of course, given time. Certainly makes it hard to guage the change fairly.
