That doesn’t seem like a bad idea, but you know the whole community is quite against more than one person per res
I think a good change would be just to cancel the res. Like that’s all I want right now. I’m not even asking for the res back, just let me leave lol On console, the default res is on the right trigger, but so is angelic decent. Idk if it’s that way on PC but, it makes Mercy main’s look quite careless, resing in the middle of the battlefield, when we’re just trying to descend softly.
I still really want using GA to heal the person she’s flying to for 15 or so health, doubled in Valkyrie. Also… can we please buff her main Valkyrie heal beam and nerf her chain beams?
Seriously… she’s got THE kit that is perfectly designed for requiring constantly engaging in triage… but her base kit hasn’t got the oomph to actually save anyone and then Valkyrie just kicks requiring triage COMPLETELY out the window.
I agree, at least this would give her some decision making to do in Valkyrie. It could also potentially save a teammate under some moderate to heavy fire if you used the focused beam on them at the time.
I played an hour of Baptiste last night. He is very map specific and only really works in very static compositions. Mercy works better in more mobile compositions. Also Baptiste’s ultimate is kinda disappointing ngl
Yup. Mercy is at her most fun while she’s ping ponging around the map. The developers SHOULD encourage that kind of play. Instead we got the shift in Damage Boost that makes it better while pocketting and nearly useless while ping ponging.
Before this change were you actually constantly zipping to people around the map timing your damage boosts perfectly so that a great number of people got the benefit of your damage boost for their projectiles?

The new hero is 10 times harder to play than mercy lol. Mastering baptiste needs gamesense + mechanicals. So dont even dare to compare this hero with her
While that works for me, there are a lot of Mercy mains that like res. Some people think it’s tied to her lore or whatever. Personally to me, that stuff means nothing to me because gameplay is more important, but anyway, people just really really want Mercy to have res for her story.
Yes…ish. I’d only pick Mercy when I was solo healing a team that was heavy on DPS so I was not really using damage boost because I didn’t have time to, but I was zipping around the map constantly.
It’s more of… “This is what makes Mercy fun. Why are you changing things to conflict with that?”
It is the most versatile, but not the strongest. In fact, in video games, versatility and raw strength are often at odds with each other.
Consider Soldier 76. He can theoretically do anything you’d want a DPS to do. Flank? Sprint, heal pod and Tac Visor all are pretty good for a flanking Soldier. Break shields? Yep, his rifle has good sustained DPS. Burst Damage? Headshots and Helix Rockets.
However… is he stronger than Tracer when he flanks? No! Is he better at burst damage than Widow? Absolutely not. Is he better at wrecking shields than Junkrat? Nope. Why? Because of his versatility. If a generalist is better at something than a specialist in their thing… well the specialist has become completely irrelevant and that’s a problem. Soldier has less raw power than those three in their niche because he is versatile.
So too with Valkyrie. Can it heal as much as Trans? Nope. Can it boost as much as Super Charger? Nah. Is it Battle Valk as scary as Genji diving with Blade? No it isn’t.
