Lost 3 comp matches due to leavers

Can we start perma banning these people from comp? It’s frustrating to lose a match like this last one was a damage moira who dived the backline died called me(genji), lucio, and Winston a bunch of racial slurs then left

Is already in the game this method.

After X numbers of leaving the player will get a season ban.

“Leaving more matches will increase the amount of time you must wait before joining a competitive game, lower your skill rating, and eventually result in a ban from Competitive Play for the current season—including the loss of any rewards you would have earned.”

since the start of ow2 i had in dps 67 leavers. 13 was when the match started, so lobby closed. 54 was mid game, no winner decided yet.

So yea, i am sorry for your 3 games :stuck_out_tongue:

The problem with banning only from the current season is that when the season is nearing it’s end, there’s a rampant rise in leavers in comp games since their suspension is lifted for the next seasons.

They need to be ban for multiple seasons, and have their SR drop by 2 ranks.

They stack.
So basically next season you will be banned earlier. After the 3rd season you are perma.

Not everyone who leaves does so intentionally. Perma banning leavers would be incredibly unfair to those who leave/disconnect through no fault of their own.

The best solution to leavers in Competitive has always been to add a modified version of backfill to Competitive, but, as with other things wrong with the game (automated reporting system, I’m looking at you), Blizzard have not done anything about it in years.

i lost count of how many times i’ve had a genji, sojourn, or reaper leave the game after not being able to abuse the living hell out of their broken states right now.
they die about 3 times, sometimes 4, without having done anything but that and then leave.
