Greeting, game devs. I would like to make a bit of a statement: I’m convinced you guys don’t give a damn about console players. I’m on Series X btw.
I can excuse the bugs like Ramattra randomly t-posing since his launch, or the occasional quirky one…
But it’s another thing when these bugs are actively hindering the fundamentals of the game for me… and it’s been going on for YEARS. There’s been a forum about it since 2022, with absolutely no acknowledgment or consideration from the devs.
The first one regarding this post is the fact that we just dont get some messages at all from some players, whether its from allies or the enemy team, and it seemingly happens at random. There’s been many of time where team members have pressed me for ignoring a teammate, when in reality their messages just doesn’t show up in the chat. Not only that, but the text chat in general would be disabled at random, where I would have to manually re-enable it so I can see text chat again. It happens way too often. I tried troubleshooting on multiple occasions and still no dice. And at this point I’m getting fed up and frustrated at the fact that nothing has been done about it, even after all this time.
Another thing is navigating menus. For some reason, the menu would just stop responding to my controller inputs, where I would have to exit the menu and re-open it in order for it to work properly again. It has happened on multiple controllers mind you, and it have since gotten worse since Stadium came out, because now almost every time I’m navigating the menu to pick powers and whatnot, this issue would occur. (and yes I mean per round where I would risk speeding up the clock when exiting the menu only to re-open it again). It is extremely annoying to deal with and quite frankly I’m surprised that no one fixed this yet. Does any one on the team use a controller?
I’ve also noticed when playing of the PS5, the game would lag significantly towards the end of matches. And I mean, 15 fps. Can’t confirm if this problem has been fixed yet, but I thought I should mention it.
I know the console player base may be significantly smaller than PC, but that’s honestly no excuse to be treated like the illegitimate child. Because our dollars are worth just as much when you guys are selling us skins–no bugs to report when purchasing those, though!
I have over a thousand hours in this game, so I’m confident in my knowledge of it. If there is a console beta tester thing I can join, I’d be more than happy to. Anything that could get these problems fixed. For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE fix these issues.
