First, Sombra, for months on end, was considered a troll pick, not good and was overall the worst to have on the team, with the entirety of her mains complaining about how terrible she is. Now, all of a sudden, she is strong and is ruining the game for some? xD Shows how the community actually “thinks” (I didn’t want to make this until I saw the whole front page covered with “nerf Sombra” but I thought I’d start early because this is usually how it starts before it gets bad.)
As someone who has mained Sombra since launch, the ironic part about all of this? She was never really as “bad” as people made her out to be imo. She is actually very much viable and I enjoy using her. She can literally cover a wide variety of areas as well as change the tide of battle since her hack and EMP do a great deal.
Never heard of this sentiment en mass unless it’s someone doomsaying about when/if sombra will ever actually be viable. Which is something I can sorta get behind given the predicement we are in with DOomfist being viable.
I call this the “whiny babies that need to stop complaining about every little detail and watching every heroes"pickrate” and jump on them because now they assume they are all OP instead of finding ways to counter" method.
“All of a sudden?” You mean, “she got huge buffs that made her significantly more viable, and thus many people may have changed their opinions about Sombra after her kit was objectively changed?”
I know and I agree with you! That is exactly what they do. I wasn’t being mean, I was telling you what I think of them and their little “WAHHH pickrates! OP CAN’T KILL” mindset.
Pickrates may hold SOME truth (Not everyone will be a great OP Sombra, come on ya know?) but SKILL is a whole different story.
Even more hilarious xD The girl everyone wanted buffed now has her buff so they are crying again even though she was"oh so weak" because of her nerf. So, it’s a nerf they whine, and if it’s a buff, they whine. This is comedy gold. “WHAAA she was buffed! We can’t win too OP! Let’s just whine and cry instead of actually trying to counter her and play using our brains!”
It’s the start. I don’t want it to be true either but apparently, she had a small buff and now people are whining again. It all starts from just a few whines before everything breaks loose.
As a Lucio player, I don’t like the nerf to him but hey, it is what it is. She isn’t impossible to kill. I still manage to get her. Everyone else? I can’t speak for them.
I don’t think Sombra is OP per say, but I hate how the infinite Translocater essentially made her into another character that requires a hard stun to kill. She can always get away, unless you full on prevent her from using her abilities (which is either a stun, a One-Shot, or another Sombra).
I think what you mean is “she got changes to her kit that came with a bunch of negative side effects that didn’t change the way Sombra players used her in the first place because it’s still the most efficient way to do it, but opened her up to new Sombra players that didn’t know how to manage her cooldowns in the first place, and none of the things that make her ‘so oppressive’ got touched at all like her damage or her hack, which is still just as inconsistent as ever? So her kit is still effectively the same but she’s somehow ‘so OP’ now even though she’s only seeing use because other heroes such as Doomfist and Wrecking Ball are seeing play?”
